This review is from: Snakes of the United States and Canada: Natural History and Care in Captivity (Hardcover)
my vet had recommended this book and I curse my finances for having waited so long to get it - it's even better than I anticipatedfirst of all, the book covers all North American snakes - not just the popular ones, so there's info that is difficult to find elsewhere there's more information on some of the snakes, than is to be found in literature dedicated to that species the husbandry information is detailed and based on experience I also like that they have little summaries of basic info at the end of each species and they give you a maintenance difficulty level rating it's well written, so the info is very accessible don't wait as long as I did - there are several smaller books (like the one on hognoses) I might not even have bothered with, had I had this one first
