Not many games have the play that this one does. You basically start with repairing cars for customers. When you build up enough money, you can go to the auction and buy a car of your own. You can fix it up and customize it any way you like, take pictures of it for your photo album, and then try to auction it off for a profit. As you repair and build more cars, the skill level goes up allowing you to take on more complex repair jobs and purchase more of a variety of cars. It's a simple but very fun game at a very affordable price.

This game is awesome, ... You can take jobs from other people, and then you can build a car from almost scratch. You go to an auction, and bid on beat up cars, and then you can either repair all the parts, or fix them. THIS GAME IS A RIOT! Have fun playing it!

Not a bad game, but..,

This game reminds me a lot of a 486 game that I knew as HotRod, but may have been called California Dreams. You'd buy a used car, upgrade it and race it. I wish there was something more to this than just building the cars, which I'm not knocking. Some racing, or time trials or destruction derbies or something along those lines. Also, it seems you can't even customize the engines as much as you could in that game. I mean, I'm definately not mechanically inclined, but I know there are aftermarket parts for everything, and you should have more variety in your engine parts and maybe even some technique like boring out the engine and such. It seems the game has a lot of possibilities, and that a Gearhead Garage 2 might be pretty dang impressive, but I'd say try and find California Dreams/Hot Rod on the net first, and wait till this one hits the bargain bargain bin. It'll be half the price in software store pretty soon, I'd bet.

Gearhead Garage Rules,

Even though I am a girl I think that Garhead Garage Rules. It is the #1 fad in my grade. Even the girls love it. I think it is a great game if you want to be a mechanic someday. It is fun and even at the same time you are learning the parts of a car! I didn't even realize I was learning I was having so much fun! It is even fun if you don't wan't to be a mechanic. So buy it QUICK!

This Game is for anyone. Even those who are not mechanically inclined. You get to pretty much take apart the entire car, rebuild it to your liking, and then customize the paint job. Of course this is with auctioned cars. You can also get jobs to make mega bucks. What a sweet game!

you wouldnt think a game so simple would be so addictive. ever since MCO was taken offline, ive played this game almost daily. its not hard, but its just a fun game. i still have to sit and think about it once in a while. it has no true goal in the game, you have unlimited customization, you can always get money, and you can d/l new 3rd party cars. i never thought a game so simple could be so fun. 469 hrs of play and counting....

zen and the art of car repair.,

This game is my top time waster, I'm really amazed at how many hours I've spent playing around with it. It's not hard, and you really only buy, restore and sell cars, plus repairing them for NPC's, but I find it very addictive. For the artistic, there is also a paint-shop to express yourself with. But the best part is on the internet.I bought this game a good while ago, but it has made a comeback in my list lately because of a number of people who have started making new cars for the game. You need access to the internet to really enjoy this game, partly because you really need to download a patch, but mainly so you can get the new cars. The game only comes with 13 cars, but you can download another 11 and there are more being made. Plus, if you are one of those brave people, you can get an editor (very hard to use) that allows you to make new cars yourself.

This game is definately worth the money!,

This game was incredibly fun. You get to buy/sell, rebuild all sorts of cars, and make lots of money on mechanical jobs. This game is a lot of fun, and, for ..., it's definately worth the money. The only flaw of this game, is the lack of parts that can be interchanged. The game is still fun, but I know that there is more that like 8 parts to a car engine. Other than this, the game is incredible! I recommend it to any gearhead!
