Debunking the Myth,
By Milupa (Dover, NJ, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Snap Judgments: New Positions in Contemporary African Photography (Hardcover)
This is a top rate book. Enwezor acts as the voice for this movment in photography. It really debunks the myth of the typical (afro-pessimistic) photos of Africa. It shows you all walks of life, from the people who live there. It's straight photography, fine art photography, fashion photography, documentary, and any other type you can think of.
If you are into photography, art, or even just shedding the sterotypes of ignorance, this is the book. |
