Snapping it together was easy.

When the box is completely full of discs the flaps that have the snaps on them do tend to spring out a little bit making it tricky to get the lid on sometimes.

The snaps do unsnap and the box comes apart easily. I put Gorilla Glue on all of the snaps and now it is perfect. Don't forget to follow the instructions on the gorilla glue. You need to get the snap wet with water for it to work! I filled both sides of the box and nothing comes unsnapped. I don't think I could unsnap it if I wanted Snap-N-Store SNS01658 Double Wide CD Storage Boxes Holds up to 330 cds (Glossy Black with Chrome Accents)to. I can move the box around as much as I want to and it stays perfect ! ! !
With Gorilla Glue, it is a snap ! ! !

This item is both simple and cheap. Since nobody I know are going to lug around 60 CD's with them, this storage method takes care of all of your needs and more. Sturdy and easy to put together (it took me 2 mins) it also offers the feature of stacking them when you decide to buy more.

This product is very poorly made. The snaps barely hold together. You really need to make sure you don't even look at the box wrong or the snaps will come undone. I put the box together and let it sit overnight. The inside center separator has glue on it that holds the snaps on the end of it. This had completely come apart by morning. I ended up having to super glue it myself. It is also not perfectly square thanks to the divider. I found that CDs fit loosely on one side and tight on the other.

Bottom Line: I would avoid this box and look for another solution.

This box is poorly made. CDs only fit on one side because the divider is defective or off center. Box falls apart when you pick it up.

This box was the solution I was looking for for my constantly growing CD collection.
It is a snap (pun-intended) to put together and stores easily on a shelf.
My CDs are kept in plastic sleeves instead of jewel cases, so I can fit hundreds(!) in one box. I recommend replacing all those bulky, fragile jewel cases with sleeves like the one Pro-Logic sells then file them alphabetically. Neat and attractive, an ideal solution to your cd storage needs.

Perhaps like other collectors, I first made the mistake of acquiring storage boxes with slots--requiring you to re-alphabetize, refile you collection each time you add a new CD. In fact, I ordered these based on the practicality of previous "snap" boxes I had purchased from Amazon to store CDs and DVDs. But those were single, not double, CD snap boxes.

I've just tried to snap this double CD box together, and the only thing that's snapping is my patience. Perhaps due to shipment in their flattened condition, the boxes have become excessively warped, as I've simply been unable to make them stay snapped shut for more than a second or two. The real gremlin appears to be the divider (not a necessary component for the single snap variety) that snaps lengthwise across the middle of the box. Since the ends are slightly bowed outwards, the divider simply won't reach far enough to snap.

The ends have to be forced against their present bias for the snaps to make contact, but it would take some mighty strong epoxy to translate mere "contact" into a connection that is "intact." Worse, the snaps on the corners of the box come loose while attempting the foregoing action. Thus far, I've had no such difficulties when using individual snap-together boxes, rather than double boxes such as those pictured here. The shoebox concept along with a storage case without slots makes a lot of sense. These don't have slots, but that's about the only good thing I can say on their behalf.

What an ingenious idea! It arrives flat, you snap it together (takes maybe a minute to do - super easy), and it holds tons of CDs. Even when you don't fill up one of the halves with CD's, it seems to be snug enough that they're not prone to falling over (at least while placing them into it). The outside does indeed look leathery. It holds even more than advertised (about 64 in full-size jewel cases) and is quite sturdy. A great, inexpensive solution to storing CD's!

I've been recording a ton of TV using a DVR. I needed to organize the ever growing pile of discs. Jewel cases weren't too easy to store - but the discs inside a paper sleeve seemed to be the way to go. I'd experimented with a few plastic tubs with lackluster results.

This easy to assemble storage box is exactly what I needed. It is the right size and is surprisingly rugged in construction. And when I fill it up, I'll order another!

Two thumbs up for a great idea.
