another fun puzzle set from Puzzazz, July 25, 2011
This review is from: Snap Sudoku #1 (Kindle Edition)
i automatically buy everything from Puzzazz.
their puzzles are always well crafted and error free. there is a legend telling you which letters correspond to which numbers. navigation is easy.
this one has 33 super easy puzzles. at only 99 cents this is a super bargain.
Plus there an additional 4 bonus puzzles. 2 are like their Wordoku. here you are given a 9 letter word and you solve using letters instead of numbers.
2 are like their Symdodu. here you have 9 symbols, such as a star, moon, stop sign, etc. like sukoku a legend is provided with each puzzle telling you which key corresponds to each symbol. these are my favorites although they are harder to solve than sudoku.

Great Puzzles for Small Bits of Time, August 1, 2011
This review is from: Snap Sudoku #1 (Kindle Edition)
Snap Sudoku #1 puzzles are great when I need a quick puzzle fix and I'm at the mercy of my kids. I quickly complete one to recharge or to kill time waiting for school pick-up to begin. I also use these as a warm-up to the longer puzzles in
Mad About Sudoku #1 (A Puzzle Collection) also by Puzzazz.

Relaxing, plus samples of Wordoku and Symdoku, September 9, 2011
This review is from: Snap Sudoku #1 (Kindle Edition)
This is my first Puzzazz product and I'm impressed enough with the quality and design to actually write a review.
Snap Sudoku is comprised of 33 fairly easy sudoku puzzles. The introduction calls them "Super Easy" yet I can see how a beginner might be challenged by them. (not to worry; the puzzles are really well-designed -- you can even make notes within each box to easily keep track of possibilities.)
The numbers are large and easy to see.
The controls are simple on my new Kindle 3; the letters q-w-e-r-t-y-u-i-o substitute for the numbers 1-9, with a clear (yet unobtrusive) legend showing on-screen. I expected the interface to be awkward and was pleasantly surprised to find it both intuitive and comfortable; there was no need to use Shift or the symbol screen.
The qwerty interface is only 1 of 3 available. There is also one that simulates a numeric keypad (using the q-w-e, a-s-d, and z-x-c buttons), as well as the ability to use numeric keys if your kindle has them.
As a bonus, Puzzazz has also included 2 Wordoku puzzles and 2 Symdoku puzzles.
Wordoku works on the same principle as sudoku, but using 9 letters instead of numbers. Oh, and the letters just happen to form a 9-letter word! :) It is the word that you see instead of the qwerty legend used in sudoku. (These seemed to activate a slightly different thinking process for me -- very similar to the one used for sudoku, but more intent somehow. I'll be purchasing more!) Currently, more Wordoku puzzles can be found in
Wordoku Unbound #1Symdoku works on the same principles above but with symbols. (I found these to be more difficult. I would enjoy these when I want something to figure out rather than unwind and relax.) Currently, more Symdoku puzzles can be found in
Symdoku Unbound #1Conclusion:
Snap Sudoku is a collection of well-designed puzzles, not only suitable for beginners but also those who'd like a gentle, yet satisfying puzzle experience.
The addition of the Wordoku and Symdoku sampler is a nice way to check out those titles without investing additional money.
