This review is from: Snapper 020397 3,100 psi 2.5 gpm Briggs & Stratton 900 Series OHV Gas-Powered Pressure Washer with 30-Foot Hose and Detergent Tank (Lawn & Patio)
Would not recommend. First pull on the rope and it did not recoil. I took it off and worked it by hand to no avail then finally oiled it and after a time it did recoil. Put it back on and with fresh gas pulled about 20 times and it would not start. Looked behind the choke lever and it was not making contact with anything. Seller Brand New Engines would not take it back and told me to take it to a local dealer for repairs. I have no way to transport it nor could I lift it so paid someone $55.00 to come out and fix the choke. Throttle cable also had a problem but apparently was a quick fix.
I buy new and pay new prices so that I don't incur these types of problems but in that there were 3 separate problems with this I have to say that Snappers quality control is very much lacking and will not by another Snapper product on any kind. I, since getting it fixed, have used it and have had no further problems but this has not lessoned my bad feelings for the manufacturer or the seller and I have no confidence that it will, down the line, continue to perform as it should.

Finding reviews for this Snapper power washer proved to be a daunting task. I did find some blogs on the Briggs and Stratton 900 series engine, and most of the comments showed it to be a solid, reliable engine. As it turns out, this machine carries a Sears part number, and the owner's manual refers you to Sears should you need service. I decided to take a chance and purchase this machine. I watched the price on this for almost a month and finally purchased it at considerably less than the $400+ price tag that it now has. I ordered it late Monday night and Amazon had it my garage on Thursday morning. Quite an achievement since it was FREE SHIPPING and weighed in at a hefty 112 pounds. The packing was perfect, all pieces were there and assembly was a breeze, 20 minutes with no tools needed. This is NOT a professional machine, but does provide the extra "oomph" needed for some home jobs. The choke and throttle levers are plastic, but seem to be well made, and function perfectly. The engine fired on the first pull, and ran very smooth and relatively quietly. Remember this has a manual choke, which I prefer over the automatic ones. The engine fires first time, every time, weather hot or cold. The actual starter rope and mechanism is just sooooo easy to pull, I don't know how they do it, but they do! My only reservation is about the all in one wand. I'm not sold on it yet. It performs as advertised, but I may go back to my older wand with separate nozzles. All in all this, baby is a solid performer, with plenty of power for home chores. Just remember this is not a professional machine, it's a homeowners machine, treat it as such and you should have years of reliable service..
