5.0 out of 5 stars Great fastener for prefold or flats
I've used this product for almost 5 years and have given them as gifts to people new to cloth diapering. They come looking fairly small and stiff, but if you stretch them according to the instructions they become longer and more flexible. They do not last indefinitely, but I've lost more than I've broken (maybe 2). This system is much safer in my opinion than pinning...

3.0 out of 5 stars They're OK, but make sure your diapers are gauzy enough to snag.
With my 100% cotton prefolds, which are just a regular cotton and are not gauzy (not cheesecloth like some of the birdseye cloth diapers) I find that the top 2 Snappi "teeth" will fasten, mainly catching the stitching at the edge of the diaper, but the bottom prong doesn't always stay. When it detaches, it scratches me as I'm holding my baby and sometimes even rakes...

I've used this product for almost 5 years and have given them as gifts to people new to cloth diapering. They come looking fairly small and stiff, but if you stretch them according to the instructions they become longer and more flexible. They do not last indefinitely, but I've lost more than I've broken (maybe 2). This system is much safer in my opinion than pinning (ouch my fingers) a diaper on a wiggly kid. I tried to use prefolds and wrap style covers (Bummis) with no fastener initially and had problems with leaks. I've used Snappis with prefolds, wrap style covers with both aplix fasteners and snaps, and with pull-on covers. One of those small things in life that makes a task that you do over and over again that much easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for cloth diapers, May 6, 2009
This review is from: Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners - Pack of 3 (Mint color mix)
Snappis make putting on a diaper so easy. You do have to be careful not to get snagged by one, it does hurt, but happens less often and certainly hurts less than being stuck by a pin! They're great. Highly recommended. They make a great gift for cloth diaper users- you can never have too many.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome product, December 14, 2008

Wish I'd have invented this! This is a great product and a must have for the parents who have chosen to cloth diaper with prefolds or flats. It's high quality and works like an ace bandage clip.

5.0 out of 5 stars FaBuLoUs!!!!, August 27, 2009
This review is from: Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners - Pack of 3 (Mint color mix)
This is one of the greatest inventions ever!! Makes cloth diapering so easy. Has a little clip at each end similar to an ace bandage (But not pointy, although they still recommend putting a diaper cover over when using these) You just clip it to one end, the other and then down the middle and the diaper stays in place. They are great and so easy. I wouldn't do without them!!

3.0 out of 5 stars They're OK, but make sure your diapers are gauzy enough to snag., September 5, 2011
This review is from: Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners - Pack of 3 (Mint color mix)
With my 100% cotton prefolds, which are just a regular cotton and are not gauzy (not cheesecloth like some of the birdseye cloth diapers) I find that the top 2 Snappi "teeth" will fasten, mainly catching the stitching at the edge of the diaper, but the bottom prong doesn't always stay. When it detaches, it scratches me as I'm holding my baby and sometimes even rakes across my opposite breast while I'm feeding him. Worse, it might prick my little boy's hands if he ever got a hold of it. You really need to make sure that your diapers have a stitched seam or a loose gauze-like cloth for the Snappi to snag onto. My regular-weave cotton diapers don't always catch the Snappi well enough. Though I do feel that Snappis are safer than pins to put on, at least pins would have no problem staying on regardless of the type of cloth.

Also, the length is OK, I've gotten about six weeks of use out of them so far, but my son is growing so fast that they are already pulling the diaper very very tight. He is only 4 months old and in order to avoid him being uncomfortable I'll probably have to upgrade to toddler size in the next month. So, I feel like I'll have to find another solution for fastening his diaper anyway, probably pins since they don't have to stretch to fit. And I'm kicking myself, because I bought too many of these. One reviewer commented "you can never have too many" but that's entirely untrue. Since they don't really need to be washed, and I pull the Snappi off and replace the diaper right there (reusing the same Snappi), I never really need more than one, maybe two... the package of 3 is enough.

So, I would recommend these, but with warnings to make sure your diapers are "porous" enough for the Snappis to snag, and also be aware that you may not be able to use them for that long, and finally, know that you don't need very many at all.

Edited to add: It's a little crazy, but I ended up using these sheet grippers The ORIGINAL Bed Band. Adjustable Fastener/Holder/Strap/Suspender/Gripper for Your Sheets. Patent Pending. after the Snappis became too tight to hold the diaper on my baby. They have suspender snaps on either side which I use to hold the cloth together and a pull tab to make sure it will stay on and snug. It's adjustable, and even though it doesn't have a center "tooth" like the Snappi, it's working for us for now! Also makes a good pacifier clip for those Soothie-type pacifiers that don't have a loop.

These are easy to use. They do end up breaking periodically, but that's ok if you pay >$4 for them and use them 2-3k times.

These work surprisingly very well. Just be careful first tim users as they can get caught on your skin while trying to use and it is not a pleasant feeling.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for cloth diapering, September 25, 2011

Snappis are a wonderful invention and a must have for cloth diapering. And when I say cloth diapering, I mean the traditional cotton prefolds (trifolds), not the half way G diapers, or the inserts into fancy covers. We love them, and we have way less leaks than our counterparts with baby using disposables. For all reviews saying they found it difficult to use or manage, I would be concerned. If you cannot manage these little fasteners, you have serious dexterity issues. I change my girl in the middle of the night with a dim hall light, and have never had trouble managing a Snappi onto her cloth diaper. I have no complains and don't know where I would be without these. They make cloth diapering a breeze!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners - Pack of 3 (Mint color mix)
I think snappi's are one of the greatest invention for cloth diapering next to using AIO diapers. My husband and I had originally bought kushies AIO for our daughter but then when she came out she was WAY to small to use them and probably won't fit till she's almost a year old. So I started doing some research for diaper that would fit a trim baby on a budget and everyone kept saying prefolds and all I could picture was this old school cloth with ugly plastic white cover and trying to safety pin the diaper on my daughter without poking her haha. Then I found snappi's bought them and bought some prefolds and I love it. The prefold fits very trim so she doesnt have a huge butt and the snappi's make it super easy to do. My husband even likes using them
