The lids are very difficult to snap into place and even when they are on, they do not create a very good seal.

I love it so much I purchased 3 sets and have been telling all of my family and friends if buying me a gift for Christmas, to purchase me some more snapware.

I feel like the food truly does stay fresher with the locking lid that prevents air getting into the container.

I pulled it out of the microwave only to have it shatter in my hands. I have been using the previous generation of these exact containers ones for years with no issues in the exact same way, and have only had the new ones for a couple months already having one explode. It definitely seems like the quality is going downhill, and since I got it at a place where I can return it I am taking it back tonight!

We found a two inch shard of glass in the sink and determined it came from one of our Glasslock containers. Upon further investigation of the other containers, we found six more that were chipped. We feel VERY lucky to have not ingested any broken glass! We've had these containers for over a year and are reading other reviews, including but not limited to, other Amazon reviews regarding this same issue. Please be aware that this could pose a life threatening situation. If you own Glasslock products, I would suggest at the very least that they be inspected for damage. We no longer use our Glasslocks to store food.

I purchased this set at Costco last month thinking I would easily be able to bake (like in the picture) something simple, like brownies.

I read the instructions before using any of the products.

As a first use I made some brownies in the large rectangle container, and the one smaller rectangle dish. I placed the glassware dishes directly on the wire rack in my pre-heated oven. after 55 minutes in the convection over at 325F I removed the dishes from the oven and placed them on the warm glass cooktop range(its the same unit so the oven makes the glass top warm). The small one did fine setting down very gently as the range is glass too. I set the larger dish on the cook top and about 1 second after setting it down on the glass top it literally exploded out one side hitting my wife with glass shards 2-3 feet away.
We both stood there a moment in absolute shock.

We have several pyrex dishes that we have used for the last 8 years making brownies, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, roasted meat and potatoes. you name it. no explosions. i've even accidentally dropped hot pyrex before and NEVER had them break.

I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone, especially anyone with kids.

My wife bought a set of these, I believe at Sam's Club, they seem like fantastic containers and they seal really well. One night we had hamburger helper and placed the leftovers in one of these on the counter to let it cool (the food was not hot, just warm) and about 5 minutes later BANG! shattered glass all over the kitchen. I got to looking at the other containers and most of them had an air bubble or two in the glass which makes them very unsafe to use at anything but room temp. Sams is 2+ hours away so we threw the rest of them out.

I nuked my lunch in my glasslock container, ate my lunch, washed my container out in warm soapy water, dried it, with a paper towel, then sat it on the end of my desk at work. Fifteen minutes later the whole glass exploded in an instant. I was so shocked,it wasn't even hot! Go figure. I won't use them anymore, they are not trustworthy.

I can not say anything about these being oven safe. I just use them to take leftovers for lunch. They are great! The lids snap on so soups stay in the container and don't end up in my lunch bag. I love that these are stackable. I have an older version that is not and these stackable ones. I want to get more of these stackable ones so they fit easier in the cabinet. I think these are great. I take my lunch straight from the fridge and put it in the microwave and haven't had any issues. I also used these in the freezer. I originally bought these to move to glass and away from the plastic storage containers.

I had been looking all over for storage containers that were glass, leak-proof, and nested so as not to take up too much cabinet space. My sister found these at Costco and gifted them to me, and now she and my mother each have a set as well! They actually do nest, because the top is a little bigger than the bottom! They're glass, so they're still a bit bulkier than the plastic I have, but I can store and microwave things without worrying about dioxin and such. They're pretty sturdy. The lids are easy enough to clean; you don't have to take out the sealing ring in the lid or anything. Good variety of sizes. I hardly ever have any in the cabinet, as they're always in use. I haven't tried them in the oven. One down-side: the lids can be hard to snap on. I often have to use my palm to get them closed. My mother got a set that's more difficult to close, so I guess it's hit and miss. So you may need to build some muscle =)
