I am an avid home baker and use about 10 different types of flour. This container and it's little brother (the 17 cup with the flip top) are perfect for storing my different flours but also allowing easy access. With the flip top open, I can carefully put in a measuring cup, fill it with flour and level the top off with out creating a giant mess. If I want several cups, I just take off the whole lid and can move quicker without worrying about getting flour every where. It's a fabulous product - can't wait 'til more of this and the smaller size are available. Oh and by the way - it says it's a "cereal keeper" on the label. I personally wouldn't use it for that - the spout (flip top) would just be too big to pour out a typical sized bowl of cereal. I would choose a narrower container for breakfast cereals.

I got it to keep dog food in.

Rather than wrestle with a huge bag, I offload some to a small container to keep in my kitchen cabinet. I wanted something that held enough to be practical to avoid frequent refills, had a flip-up lid exposing an area large enough to insert my hand and the measuring cup, and had a "hand grip" area bcs I have small hands and can't span something very large. This container fills the bill in all respects.

Although the manufacturer's photo shows the "grip area" as vacant, it is part of the container and holds contents.

Tight seal. Dishwasher safe (lid in upper rack, however). Capacity: 23 cups dry measure. See the photo with container relative to size of soup can.

AND it's made in the USA!

Win-win-win!

The container seems sturdy and the lid goes on well and seems to seal tightly but the opening is very large as you can see in the picture. I didn't think anything of it until I tried to pour my cereal out of the container where it cascaded in my bowl and on both sides of the bowl as well. I tried pouring on an angle (just out of the corner) and it was only slightly better. Also the latch for the lid is directly over one of the four latches for the lid as a whole. Every time I open the container I open one of the main latches too. I like how much it holds but the lid design could be better.

Great product with one drawback. The flip to open the lid is just above the flip to open one side of the top. It creates an annoying habit of releasing both when not paying attention.

This would be hard for a child to hold, or for anyone to pour from when it's not nearly empty. I'm glad I didn't buy it to pour from.

great for storing cereal. has a super air tight lid, with easy open 'pour out' top. nice handle makes it easy to hold and pour while still being a large enough container to fit 1 entire cereal bag from costco. A regular cereal box would prob fill about 3/4 of the container.

Have bought Snapware for most all my pantry items that need to be stored on account of
we live in the mountains and there is an ant problem every year. Went to get cereal this morning only to find that ants had gotten into the Snapwere product!! So checked other Snapware containers and they had ants in them as well. Am so disappointed in Snapware. They DO NOT keep pests out. And yes, did check the seals and sides of the container to make sure they were closed tight.

I got this for my cereal so it would last longer before going stale. So far I haven't had a problem with any cereal going stale regardless of the time I have had it. The handle is small enough that even my 11 year old daughter can one hand this container with no problem. Also having the smaller lid in the top makes for easy pouring as well. Great cereal keeper that I would get again if I needed to!!

I bought 2 of these, 1 for cat food and the other for dog food (small dog). I guess you could use them for cereal also! They each hold a small bag of food. The top flips up and snaps back precisely. The container is easy to grip and hold onto as it's shaped for gripping. I've had similar containers in the past that have not sealed properly and haven't been easy to hold. So this one passed the test!

I use it to store the gargantuan quantities of oatmeal that come in plastic bags at Costco. It holds one of the two bags that are sold 2-per-box. My only complaint is that the access hatch (shown open in the photo here) is opened by lifting a tab that is located quite close to the tab that holds the entire top onto the storage container, so sometimes when you life the hatch you unexpectedly open the entire top. I learned fairly quickly to make sure to open the hatch only when the entire container is still firmly sitting on the counter or table top. Another small item is that if you actually pour oatmeal out of the container, it builds up in the edges of the opening, making it difficult to close the hatch. I have opted to put a scoop into the container with the oatmeal (of the size that I use to measure the amount needed to make one serving), so I don't have to pour the oatmeal. I understand that this limits the use(s) to which I can put this container, but I really just bought it to keep oatmeal in anyway.
