1.0 out of 5 stars Snap'n stack doesn't stay "snapped"!
I received a Snap 'n stack for holiday storage, thinking it looked perfect. After snapping the levels together, and lifting by the handle (with nothing in them!) some came unsnapped, causing it to fall. I tried several configurations, thinking it was perhaps one faulty "snap". No dice. I could definitely not put breakable ornaments in here and expect to lift it with...

We switched to these this year - bought them at Target at cheaper price 9.99/piece. So far - so good. Do not drop them on hard surface - the plastic will crack as the parking lot at Target proved, so it remains to be seen if the latches will hold up. COUPLE BIG TIPS - we too have breakable, valuable antique and handblown ornaments. I bought a bunch of packs of coffee filters at dollar store - take 3-5 per section and drop them into each section - you can even fit them in when setting up the tray/layer with 16 sections. It holds them snug so they are not rolling around. Also buy a big roll of bubble wrap - the kind that is perforated; then put two per section - one bottom and one top so the ornaments are padded. No more tissue paper - can't wait to set up the tree next year - will go much faster. FYI - fit over 300 ornaments in just 10 containers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad., January 3, 2007

The idea is clever, and the plastic seems sturdy, but the "snapping" handles look like they could snap off after a good bit of usage. We will have to see what happens. There is plenty of room for ornaments, and it is nice for the box to be clear so you can see what things are inside.

Like several reviewers have said, these don't stay "together," especially if there are heavy objects in the compartments. The smaller snapware products work much better in that department. Still, I keep buying these for certain types of ornaments because I can see clearly what is in each compartment, hold quite a bit more than you think and they fit nicely on shelves. To keep them more "together," I tie them with twine (like a present....). Works for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken, January 27, 2008
This review is from: Snapware 60621 Snap-N-Stack 3-Layer Ornament Box with Dividers (Kitchen)
This product arrived with the bottom tray tab broken, It was not worth the hassle to try to return it. I also received the scrapbook tote last week and it had the corner cracked and broken so I glued it back on.
Friday I received the large craft and snap and one of the snaps on the bottom tray was broken and the top tray was cracked. Needless to say I will not be ordering anymore of those products

2.0 out of 5 stars Lacks quality, April 7, 2007

The latch broke when I opened the box. The dividers are cardboard and are not secure. However, customer service was great.

I bought a bunch of them at Target and I love them. I like that they are clear so you can see what is inside and the fact that they stack well. They stay locked in place pretty well. I only gave 4 stars because they are more expensive here. I would have thought with it not being Christmas that they would have gotten cheaper not more expensive now.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't even make it out of the store, January 7, 2008
This review is from: Snapware 60621 Snap-N-Stack 3-Layer Ornament Box with Dividers (Kitchen)
The concept of these storage boxes is great, but they just don't work. In fact, I couldn't even make it out of the store where I bought them without them coming un-snapped -- and that's when they were completely empty. Needless to say, I immediately returned them.

The quality of these boxes is very poor. On many of the boxes in the store, the snap loops were broken off, and several of them were cracked in other places.

I really liked the idea of clear, divided, flexible ornament storage, but sadly this Snapware set is not a good solution at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a good choice, June 15, 2007
This review is from: Snapware 60621 Snap-N-Stack 3-Layer Ornament Box with Dividers (Kitchen)
I have 3 of these snap n' stack boxes and none of them are worth the money paid for them. None of them stay snaped together. They are constantly coming apart. I would not purchase any of the snap n' store boxes. Great idea, bad quality.

I bought this storage box after desperately needing some storage for my ornaments. I didn't want to spend $80+ on an ornament storage box, so this one seemed like a great deal.

Here are the pros and cons with this product:

Pros:
- the boxes are made out of plastic, so anything in there will stay pretty dry even if your garage / attick gets damp.
- Pretty cheap

Cons:
- Shipping cost - almost as much as the product itself
- The clasps for stacking the boxes together SUCK. Two of them already broke the very first time we used the boxes, and we were really gentle with them.
- The carboard dividers are very flimsical. I wasn't expecting much, however I was expecting that they are sliding into slots within the plastic containers. They do NOT - so they move all around , and don't provide much support at all.
- Since the plastic clasps seem to break very easily, I have no trust in carrying the box with the handle on top, since I don't want to risk having all my ornaments break from one of the boxes falling out - we'll probably be using a bungy cord to keep the boxes together and only lift them up from the bottom.

If you're looking for something durable that will last for years to come, don't buy this product. But, if are storing non-breakable ornaments / decorations in there and are not expecting too much, that one will do.
