This box is a great idea, but what you can't see in the photo is that the cheap cardboard dividers that come with the plastic box do not fit into the grooves inside the plastic box. They just fit together grid-style inside the box. That means the ornaments aren't secured, and for heavy ornaments won't work at all.

This would be great if you were trying to store cheap ball ornaments from Walmart... but I'm not, so I'll definitely be returning this for something with secured dividers.

The ornament storage boxes are solid enough to store breakable ornaments. The cardboard inserts cushion glass ornaments better than plastic would.

I am very happy with this product. I bought six trays and my Christmas clutter is now completely organized. I even left the inserts out of one of the layers and stored our stockings inside.

You can use all the dividers for small ornaments or only two in each direction for large glass balls. I put the extra dividers on the bottom so that I could readjust next year if we get new ornaments.

I already had one ornament box with opaque sides but it is much nicer being able to see what is inside. I think to store all the ornaments from a typical tree plus stockings and garlands 9 trays would be perfect.

The plastic tabs which clip the trays together don't seem very breakable to me. They aren't very thick or hard to snap together, so I guess they could break, but I didn't have any problem.

For years I have grappled with several cardboard and plastic storage containers of various sizes, resulting in ornaments broken/hard to find, etc. I found this storage box online and bought 5. ALL of my ornaments plus several strands of beads, lights, and other decorations fit in them perfectly. The snapping layers are very sturdy. The dividers are cardboard but they are heavy cardboard and can be arranged in at least 2 different ways to accommodate ornaments of different sizes. I am extremely happy with these and wish I had bought them years ago.

I purchased these recently because I have antique ornaments in paper boxes from the 50s and 60s. Since the boxes were deteriorating, this was the perfect solution. It should be noted that the Snap 'N Stack plastic is not very durable and easily cracks / breaks. My original order was damaged -- it was cracked at the snap, so 2 bins were unusable. A replacement set was sent, and much to my dismay, was also damaged. A piece had broken off at the corner; creating very sharp edges. Sadly, this one too was unusable. So, of the 2 sets received, 5 out of 8 bins can be used. My advice is to be very careful when using the 'snap'. On a good note, these are large and the ornaments fit nicely. Since the dividers are optional, bins can also be used to store wrapping paper, bows, tags and all other decorations other than ornaments. I still like them very much, even though they are made from low quality / brittle plastic.

These would be great if the cardboard inserts fit into the slats. Mine were too short and I ordered 3, so I am assuming they are like that on all of them. I did use them and I feel reasonably safe that my ornaments will be protected. Be careful not to put down too hard as these are not cushioned and the bottom of the ornaments are not protected. Next year I will probably get bubble wrap to put in the bottom.

I purchased 3 sets of these. I love that I was able to get the Christmas ornaments organized and condensed down to managable containers. I had to only give it 4 stars because of the cardboard dividers. I would have liked them to be sturdier and fit into the grooves that are made into the sides of the containers. I cut pieces of cardboard from the shipping box to lay in the bottom of each container, I felt like it needed the extra cushion. I had several containers that I did not need the dividers, so I cut those in half and inserted them diagonally into the 16 slots of another container to make smaller compartments for the small/thin ornaments, enabling me to put 32 ornaments in one container.

If you are looking for a container to hold small, loose objects in separate compartments (like legos or beads) this will not work because the divider inserts are not secured and tight. If you have ornaments that you consider precious and could not risk them breaking, you will need to wrap those in tissue or bubble wrap before placing them in this container, but I was expecting that.

These storage boxes help keep you organized and allow you to throw away all of the boxes and tissue paper you normally use to protect ornaments. I have purchased a few of the boxes from different sources and am very happy with them. I can easily see the ornaments and no longer have to search through numerous boxes for the ones I want to use. Taking down the tree is much faster using these boxes and packing up the ornaments is no longer a chore.

This storage box is very sturdy and easy to use. There is plenty of room to label gifts my children get each year from relatives so they can remember when they get older. I feel safe putting fragile ornaments in and knowing they are well protected.

This is the greatest ornament storage I have found. I love that they click together and keep everything dust free and clean.

I just received this item today and they sure don't make these like they used to! I have the exact same Snapware brand purchased at a local store from over 5 years ago and I'm shocked at how flimsy the plastic snaps are on the new trays. The material feels thinner and softer than my old trays - no wonder one of the snaps was broken as soon as I opened the box! It would be such a hassle to return the whole thing and I've already contacted the seller to see if they'll send one replacement tray. I sure hope they bubble wrap that tray or it'll arrive the same way. The Snapware system was simply placed inside a brown box with a big sticker that says "Handle with care, don't drop..." I don't see why they couldn't bubble wrap the thing it's not like delivery man has control of those boxes once they roll around the truck. I'll update this review when I hear from them.

Update: The seller responded to my email fairly quickly and sent out a new one free of charge. Unfortunately, the new one they sent also came with broken snaps on one of the trays. I have already written a review for the seller regarding packaging and shipping. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again because they had good service, I just won't order this particular item again.
