5.0 out of 5 stars Nazareth - 'Snaz' (Essential) single disc release, March 19, 2005
This review is from: Snaz (Audio CD)
Have always liked this 1981 live Nazareth album. Also glad to see that one record label had the sense to squeeze this 77 minute show onto one disc, instead of two CD's,as it has been released before. All sixteen tracks kick ass as far as I'm concerned.Like,"Razamanaz",Joni Mitchell's "This Flight Tonight","Beggar's Day",J.J.Cale's "Cocaine",their FM radio staple "Holiday","Hair Of The Dog","Show No Mercy",the Yardbird's "Shapes Of Things",the unforgetable "Love Hurts",ZZ Top's "Tush" and "Morning Dew".A must-have for all fans of '70's hard rock.Line-up:Dan McCafferty-vocals,Manny Charlton-guitar,Pete Agnew-bass,Billy Rankin-2nd guitar,John Locke-keyboards and last but not least Darrell Sweet(R.I.P.)-drums.Long live Nazareth!

4.0 out of 5 stars Captures the band in time, allows us to visit as we please !, January 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Snaz (Audio CD)
Having had the opportunity to check out this remarkable band during several stages of it's unending metamorphosis, I am well aware of what a Nazareth show sounds like. I am equally aware of what a Nazareth show feels like. This outstanding collection has somehow managed to capture both ! The sound quality is in a word ... impeccable ! The interaction between band and crowd is as it should be. The reason for my rating being four stars out of five is.. This live disc is so utterly fantastic, that it should have been a double or triple disc release. I've left one star open for "Snaz 2".

4.0 out of 5 stars Snaz, July 14, 2001
This review is from: Snaz (Audio CD)
Nazareth's albums all had a "lighter" tone to them that always bothered me, so that is why this CD is so great. It captures them in their live concert fury, with loud guitars and lots of noise. Some of the songs are throwaways, but for the most part, this is what Nazareth should have sounded like in the studio. If you are an old fan-pick this up. It will give you a completely different look into this band and how they could really ROCK.

5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the greatest hard rock live album ever, March 4, 1999
This review is from: Snaz (Audio CD)
I had this album on cassette several years ago, it was stolen with many others. It is the one I missed the most. I spent many years trying to find it again. My prayers have been answered. If you think Cheap Trick at Budokan was the ultimate live album of the 80's, your sadly mistaken.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best!!, August 27, 2008
This review is from: Snaz (Audio CD)
This is one of my absolute favorite live albums period. Cafferty's voice is quite rhaspy but makes the "live" part real not remastered. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a complete CD. The LP has 20 tracks which include the two studio tracks, Morning Dew and Juicy Lucy and two live tracks: big boy and Every Young Man's dream. The Description from the editor state it include the studio songs but don't see them on the track list.
