I was eagerly antcipating this game for Wii U, and overall I was not disappointed. I love the storyline, the x-ray effect during snipes is awesome! Some of the stealth bits that require you to be up close and personal with enemies can be frustrating, but they work. Using the gamepad makes switching weapons and keeping track of the terrain (and your destination) easier; even better is the off-tv play included. Graphically, it could've stood a slight upgrade. I'm sure the Wii U is more than capable of this. As it stands it's still a pretty good looking game. If you're looking for a Wii U game with a more serious tone this may be for you.

I was on the fence about this purchase given so-so reviews of the game on other platforms. I bought at full msrp from Game Stop and I don't regret it. If you can stand to wait, I'm sure the price will come down like the others. I don't have the PC version or the Xbox or PS3 versions, so I can't say if it's better than those or not. Having the game pad almost seems like cheating, as does marking enemies to keep track of them. It didn't stop me from using these features though.
It's similar to the original in almost every way, with the following exceptions:
* I never found the panzerfaust, but I know it's around somewhere. This didn't really affect my experience
* There's no camouflage indicator, so you don't know how hidden you are at any given moment. This didn't really affect my experience, because of common sense and other threat indicators.
* The game pad is essentially a map. When enemies are tagged, they show up on the map. You can also switch weapons on the game pad easily. Once in awhile, I'd play solely on the game pad as a mirrored screen and it worked just fine.
* The x-ray kill cam is very sick and satisfying.
* V2 doesn't seem as long as the first one. It feels like an appropriate length, but I'd love a little more. There are some extras I haven't played with yet, though. Took me a week of casual play to finish the main story.
* No multiplayer options via internet or a second controller. Kind of a bummer. It'd be nice for a friend to use the Pro controller and the TV while I use the game pad in either a vs or a co-op mode.

If you've never played the first one, I suggest reading some of the more critical reviews of this game on other platforms, from Amazon and other review sites. It is very frustrating at times.

I like the kind of game that has some reality in it, and takes me back to the enviroment of certain era. One of my favorite era is the world war II era. This game did a good job taking giving me a glimpse to fight in this period. While the missions have pretty much similar linear line, I still enjoyed it. I hope it was a longer as I was able to complete it in 2 days. I think playing this game on wii is andvantage. WII user have always been labels as less serious gamers than PS, while this may have some truth in it, I think that the wii with this extra screen in hand is a powerful tool. But unfortunately not a lot of games out there that uses this functionality of extra screen. However this game take a bit of an advantage of this.

To improve the game, make it longer, have more video interactive for mission introduction rather than reading / photos style.

The level of difficulty of this game is ridiculosly hard. I had to play in the lowest level in order to proceed, otherwise it was getting to the point of repeating a step hundred time just to pass a checkpoint. You play to win and progress, and not to get defeated and fall int frustration.

Now do not get me wrong if I criticise the game, I would still buy it and play it again if times goes back.

Great visuals, lots of weapons and gadgets, great videos and story with awesome controls and missions. The sniper vision and kills are awesome and show the exact entry and exit points, it's that detailed. The Wii U controls are great, and the gamepad makes playing even easier and more in depth. Great purchase.

Much better than the typical shoot em' up games, Sniper Elite requires some stealth and strategy. Playing on the wii u gamepad is also a lot of fun, or putting it up on the big screen and using the gamepad for the map is equally fun. Graphics maintain great quality if you're just playing on the gamepad.

This is the kind of game that rewards thinking through the situation. Some other games just reward quickness of the trigger finger. In this one shot placement and timing is all important.

It's a fun game, and the bullet hits right where you aim it. Also, when the bullet hits the enemy you get a graphic picture of what it does to his flesh.

Want to take out some egotistical nazi from the third reich then look no further as you play an american sniper behind enemy lines during the end days of WWII. The gameplay is standard for most TPS or FPS style but unlike most of the other shooter games this is a game of cat and mouse where you have can't take on a battalion of soldiers but ducking and firing so much as finding a hard to spot area and taking out your enemy from a distance then moving to another area before the enemy finds your location pretty much like a sniper.

The controls for the most part are also pretty straight forward nothing to fancy or hard to learn with a little Splinter Cell esque effect put into play, meaning when you take out a an enemy that the other enemies if they see where your shot came from the game will show a ghostly white after image of where the enemy saw you. The only complaint I have about the game is the lack of proper usage for the gamepad as it's pretty much just used as a controller without the use of the touchpad screen.
