When I learned Snohetta was releasing a book of their work, I was beyond overjoyed. They are one of my favorite firms and wanted to learn all I could about their buildings from the technical images these books usually contain. I stress usually, because to my disappointment there were very few of these, sections, plans, details, included. The pictures of the projects are very pretty, but informative, not so much. Overall the book as an explanation of their work, was so so. When there were diagrams and other technical images included, they were very limited. Then there was the book layout, very bland, not what I was expecting from a cutting edge firm. I've seen much better project layouts from design students. I wanted to give this book a 3 star review at least, since I am such a fan of their work, but that would be misleading. If you enjoy beautiful pictures of projects, then this is a good book at best to have, but as far as really learning something from their projects, keep looking to other collections. Hopefully if they ever release another collection, they'll add that element which makes their designs so dynamic to a book befitting this.
