4.0 out of 5 stars Charlie Brown finally kisses the little red-haired girl!, March 22, 2000

Although "It's Your First Kiss" was a relatively late addition to the Peanuts pantheon, it still retains some of the charm of classic Schulz storylines. Linus is there, dispensing bits of understated romantic wisdom, with blanket in tow. There are some classic football scenes (with coach Peppermint Patty amusingly evading her players' question upon viewing her game plan: "So, are we the Xs or the Os?"). And Charlie Brown's google-eyed panic attacks and his climactic, slo-mo walk down the aisle toward his first kiss always throw our kids into fits of laughter. A worthy addition to any Peanuts library.

5.0 out of 5 stars You're in Love, CB, December 15, 2000

Okay, so I'm biased! I am buying this one for my 3 1/2 year old because we rent it over and over so he can laugh his head off at one particular scene. We've probably rewinded the rental video to death for the scene near the end where CB climbs the fence into school, makes a lot of noise sneaking into his classroom late, and bangs his head. The sound of my son's uncontrollable laughter makes this one we have to own!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love for Charlie Brown, January 8, 2003
This review is from: Snoopy Double Feature Vol. 4 (You're In Love/It's Your First Kiss) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
You're in Love, Charlie Brown (1967): The end of the school year is coming and he can't stop noticing that Little Red-Haired Girl. He tries everything to get her attention, but he can't budge. Lucy makes fun of him, while having trouble herself with Schroeder. Peppermint Patty comes along at tries to help. Charlie Brown feels terrible. He has a few days to tell the Little Red-Haired Girl how he feels. What will the Little Red-Haired Girl say to him? (You'll just have to find out!)
It's your first Kiss, Charlie Brown (1977): Homecoming Time! Football Game, Dancing, Partying, the works! Right in the middle is Charlie Brown. Not only is he playing in a football game, he the escort for the queen. GOOD GRIEF! The queen is none other then The Little Red-Haired Girl (Who is finally given a name!) At the game, Peppermint Patty is the Coach/QB and Snoopy is the Referee. Charlie Brown is the kicker and Lucy is the holder. Mistakes happen and guess who is blamed! At the dance, Charlie Brown is very nervous. This is the first time he is going to meet her. (Find out what happens after!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Charlie Brown's Romantic Side, January 4, 2001

On this video, you see a side to Charlie Brown you don't often see- his romantic side!

On You're In Love, CB (1967), school is coming to a close and Charlie Brown tries hard to win the attention of the little red-haired girl. He asks Lucy for advice, but she'd rather chew him out! But remember, she's tried to get Schroeder's attention the hard way- by smashing his Beethoven bust and destroying his piano! Undaunted, Schroeder goes to his closet and gets another piano and bust! Peppermint Patty (who makes her animation debut here) tries to help her pal "Chuck". This also marks the debut of the substitute for adult voices ("whomp-whomp-wah"!) A classic, but don't fast-forward during the credits (listen for Charlie Brown's closing line!).

Then it's time for the Homecoming Game and Dance in It's Your 1st Kiss, CB (1977). Charlie Brown's escort for the dance is who else? You got it, the beloved little red-haied girl (she's the Homecoming Queen)! But 1st, he must play in the football game. Peppermint Patty is the coach, Snoopy is the referee and well, everything else! Lucy holds the ball and the rest is sports history! Poor Charlie Brown gets blamed for every blunder!
