My little guy (5.5 pounds) has three beds, and this is his favorite by far. He loves to burrow into it, and the internal wire keeps the hood up so he can peek outside. The small size would probably fit two 5 lb dogs, and would be fine for one 10 to 15 pound dog. My house is drafty, and I'm happy that this bed will keep him warm--it's like a sleeping bag with sherpa lining. This product is a little pricey compared to others, but it's worth the cost.

I got this bed for my 10 year old, 20 pound French Bulldog who loves sleeping under blankets. The bed is very nicely made and of good quality materials. It feels like it will be a very durable bed. There's quite a bit of stuffing. The front of the flap has a rigid insert so it stays up by itself. I was worried that the small bed would be too small for my dog, but it is quite roomy, she can crawl into the back with plenty of space up front. (see photo)

The only complaint I have about this bed is that it tilts off to the side . If the cushion could somehow be made more stable so that it didn't roll around so easily when the dog is in the bed it would be perfect for your little burrowing pup. The bed cover washes well and it is easy to take on and off.

This is such a neat bed. I first saw it in a magazine sent to my house. I then went on the interent search for the best price. It led me here to Amazon!! Thanks! Saved me $25 off the magazine price!! I've read some reviews of what the weight limit for the size small is. Well, both my dogs weigh 25 lbs and it's perfect for them! I've got a rat terrier and a boggle (beagle/boston terrier mix) They even both fit in it, with my help holding up the opening :) It's fab - and I highly suggest this well made bed for any pup!

Really well made and lots of fuzz and padding. My two 15 pound MinPin's can fit together in the small but they don't like to share so I'm buying a second one. The bed is so full of padding that it does tend to topple over at first, but once the padding settles that problem goes away. If you're going to put it on a smooth floor (i.e. wood), I suggest using a no slip carpet pad underneath the dog bed, as it does slide if you leave it as is. I'm so glad I purchased this, it keeps my burrowing dogs happy and no more blankets all over the house.
Update-I bought the first bed in tan from Amazon and it was perfect, but I ordered my second one directly from the manufacturer in blue and although they both have a Snoozer tag, my tiny dog can't fit in the one I bought from the manufacturer, the "cave" is too low. I'm buying another tan from Amazon.

At first, I thought the product was a flop as the dog was not seeming to get the point of this particular bed - to use as a cave; however, after a small training session with the dog which entailed lifting the roof and spilling the dog into the cave, she helped herself and became right at home. Now it is her favorite place on Earth.

Perfect for cold climates as it saves the dog from inevitable drafts which are abound at ground level. The added bonus is that the top also shields her from prying kids who simple seem drawn to bother a poor, sleeping dog.

The biggest asset to me is that it appears quality construction and the cover removes for ease of cleaning. Yes, you can get much cheaper beds but it is too hard for me to wash a one piece bed than a cover.

In Summer, if the faux sheep interior seems too hot, the dog can always sleep on top of the canvas for coolness.

Lastly, it is very cushy. Cheaper beds seem to lack padding. This is very cushioned.

Lucky dog! I expect this bed to last a long time.

We bought this bed for our 12 lb. dog straight from the manufacturer after reading the reviews. It was a total waste of money because we had to pay $20 to ship it back. The opening is too narrow for our dog to get enough traction to climb in. And when he did, he slid off the back edge and the bed tilted on its side. He wouldn't go near it again.

Great idea but poorly designed.

I should have purchased this item from amazon for the much lower price than the one I paid at a local dealer, thinking I was doing the right thing by keeping the business local. I should have taken the dog to the store and introduced him to the thing to get his opinion. But it was Christmas eve and I wanted to buy a luxury bed for my dog. Well you know the local business thing, they never return your money and in this case not even to be bound to the slavery of purchasing something else in their store. My dog and this thing just didn't happen. Even the doggie friends he occasionally stays with didn't even attempt the thing. Accused of being "unhealthy" for a bed no dog could figure out, I was condemned to own it forever. I was encouraged to stick treats inside of it as if that would solve its fundamental design flaws. I couldn't even return the bed for a store credit. So, having now nearly 100 dollars invested in this thing I am designing to take it apart, rework the cushion so that the dog doesn't slide off the center onto the floor off the edge, remove the rough synthetic sheep garbage and replace it with a soft material, and design the hood so that it zips off, in the event that we might like to use the dog bed in a season other than winter. When I succeed in getting my dog to want to use it ... and he won't even crawl into his old bed if it sits on top of it ... I will let all of you disappointed and screwed out of your money customers know about it. As for the local store ... I will never buy anything from them ever again.
