Bill Wallace's book, Snot Stew, is a very funny, and energizing children's book. It's about two kittens named, Toby and Kikki, who are adopted by a boy and a girl. This book is the best childrens book I have ever read. It is easy to read and extremely funny. The book is written from the kittens' point of view which makes the book even more interesting. The adventures the two kittens go on will have you rolling on the floor. The part of the book I liked the best was when the boy and the girl were fighting over something, and they were yelling at each other "Is not!" "Is too!" "Isnot!" "Istoo!" "Snot!" "Stew!"

The major conflict was when the kittens got out of the fence, and the neighbor dog, Butch, a cat eating dog, almost ate them. Toby and Kikki were lucky enough to get away before the dog ate them.

I can't really relate to the kittens, but I can relate to the girl. I can understand how she gets into conflicts with her brother. I get into conflicts with my sisters all the time. I also have a dog that is very protective of his territory. If any other dog comes on my yard he barks and creates a ruckus. In that way I can relate to Butch, the dog in the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recomend it to everyone

I bought this book for my 7 year old granddaughter. Both my sons, now grown men were delighted with the imaginative story telling that developed out of something very common. They read it many times and my granddaughter, having a very active imagination will enjoy it many times as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book!, September 4, 2009
This review is from: Snot Stew (Hardcover)
I read this book for the first time when I was 8 years old. I read it over and over again. Now I have an 8 year old daughter of my own so I decided to search for this book and order it for her so she could enjoy this story as much as I did. She read the entire book in 2 days or less. She couldn't put it down she said. I would definately recommend this book to friends and their children. It's also a great book you can sit and read to younger children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snot Stew, July 6, 2007
I read this book to my 3rd grade class every year. They love it!!!!!!!! When it is time to stop reading for the day they beg for me to continue. They talk about the book to each other. They tell the parts they like best and what they think will happen next. It is a delightful book. The two cats are so lovable. The story is not too long or too short, it is just right. Bill Wallace wrote a great book.

I wanted & found a copy of Snot Stew for a sentimental birthday gift for my son--who loved this book MANY years ago. He's now a Marine currently overseas serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. I am in hopes of bringing a smile to his face--even if only for a little while.

I appreciate the ease in this shopping experience. Thanks to All!!!!

Very Proud Marine Mom, Rhoneej

5.0 out of 5 stars Snot Stew, November 18, 2005
A Kid's Review
This story is really good. The cats and dog are very funny. While the cats are teasing the dog around the house, they also get caught up with the kids and its funny when they think they are going to get stew and they don't. The cats think they are so smart but the dog gets the fat cat in the end, literally when he bites his tail. I won't tell you the whole thing though... you'll have to read it to find out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tody and Kikki are awsome cats!, February 1, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Snot Stew (Hardcover)
Would you like to read about two kittens who love to eat and play? If so you should think about reading Snot Stew by Bill Wallace. The book Snot Stew is set on a farm. It tells how two kittens Toby and Kikki learn about people stuff and about food and games, especially snot stew. The two kittens sometimes also get into some spills. Join Toby and Kikki throughout their troubles.
I liked this book because I like stories about animals and also I liked it because it was somewhat suspenseful. I think this book is a great book but I think it would be aimed for young audiences. If you don't mind kiddy books, then I think you will enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars stoo cute book, January 27, 2002

...

Told from the perspective of two kittens, Toby and KiKi, the book is about being adopted by "people things" and moving into their "barn". As the kittens begin to learn more about their new surroundings, they also learn that people things can be trusted, but the pet dog cannot. The story is sure to be one of your favorites, too.....!
