Chloe and Alex have gone to Colorado, hoping for a quiet holiday. Everything looks perfect, an old fairytale hotel overlooking the perfect little town-- but the hotel has a bloody history and someone doesn't want to see it reopen. The first acts of sabotage are small, but they are soon escalating. It is up to Chloe and Alex to find the saboteur before someone is killed... There is another story, High Society. This covers New Years Eve in a posh Seattle hotel where Alex discovers his clients have something to hide. As always, a fun read.

As usual this was a great read. Love the quirkiness of the characters. The settings always have a down home kind of feel. I just love these books and will be checking in for more in the series.

This book and the others in the series should probably be directed towards pre-teens and young teens (say 12 -15 year olds). The quality is ok but decidedly juvenile.

If you like Chloe Boston books... these short stories are no disappointment. I really like this series, mostly because they are light, easy to read, and I can sneak them into my busy schedule. Melanie Jackson can spin these stories without making them all seem like the same one over and over again. Each one builds on the other though, so read them in order!
