This is a small book that fits well in little hands and offers a cute pop-up scene on each page. Each scene is appealing and not too complicated, but with enough movement to please a little one. After our record snowy winter, I thought my grandchildren would enjoy this book since they are huge pop-up book fans, but found it oriented to younger children than my 6 and 9 year old.

For younger children, the scenes are mostly sturdy enough to withstand a certain amount of roughness and could be enjoyed independently by even a two-year-old. The snowman on the last page is more elaborate--and more fragile--and the dancing ballerina may not dance for long :) but would still be cute when she pops up on the frozen pond.

This would be a great Christmas present next year, or even a fond memory come summer of the snowy fun many children had this winter.

My son came home raving about Jingle Bugs after reading it at school, so of course we went online and found a dozen books the same author had written. The stories are simple, illustrations are great, and the pop-ups are incredibly intricate. Highly recommend the books, but not for toddlers (even though they are technically board books). My son is almost 7 and even he has to be reminded to manipulate them carefully or they will rip off.

My 9 month old daughter loves this book! She loves books in general, but most books don't hold her attention span when I am reading them to her (she prefers to play with them herself). This book, however, keeps her enthralled! She loves discovering what's behind each page, and I am definitely going to be purchasing more from this author. She is so amazed by the book she doesn't even try to grab the pages!

I have bought many of David Carter's Bugs books. They are wonderful pop-up books that stay at Grandma's house for me to read to my very special grandson. Since he's only 16 months old we read them together and work the pop-ups together. The books are so cute and always bring a smile to my grandson's face. We always have to read them several times because they are so fun!

Sent this to several kids under age of three. All of their parents said they LOVED it and have had to read it to the kids multiple times. They have all said that they have to keep the book out of reach to prevent the kids from playing with the popup figurines. I think the book is a great way to teach kids about the snow, I just think all the eyeballs are weird :0)

I gave it to two year old little girls who loved the flips and the pop-outs. They were probably just a bit more careful than boy may have been. If you want it to last, it's probably meant for four year olds who would also loved it. Also--their mom remembered the Carter books from when she was young, she loved them.

This book lacks the creativity of the other 'Bugs' books. They have used a character called 'Busy Bug' on many of the pages instead of creating a new bug that relates to the snow theme. I think it's a little dull, but my little ones seem to like it.
