The author uses repetitive word play to tell the story of an African American boy who loses and then recovers his dog while sledding in the snow.

Snow on Snow on Snow,
By A Customer
This review is from: Snow on Snow on Snow (Hardcover)
Snow on Snow on Snow is a useful predictable book for kindergarteners and preschoolers who are just beginning to learn about reading. Almost every sentence has a phrase that is repeated three times. This is an excellent selection for shared reading and writing activities in your Winter Theme Unit.

This review is from: Snow on Snow on Snow (Hardcover)
This is a wonderful book for winter. It is so beautifully written and fun to listen to for both adults and children.
The book starts with the words "I woke up under blankets under blankets under blankets." The child is indeed under three blankets and its fun to point to each blanket as the word "blanket" is said. My new favorite winter book to read to my child!
