We really enjoyed reading this book to our 2.5 yr. old daughter. She fell in love with Zippy the dog. Really glad we happened to pick it up at the library. Liked it so much, that we're now trying to purchase a copy. A very nice story.

a very nicely written story about a little boy's snow day. my son loved every word. he wanted to go out and do everything that robbie did right away.

Robby is a typical school-aged kid who sees huge drifts of snow outside his window on a winter morning. His big hope is confirmed - Snow Day! The rest of the book details what he and his eternally happy dog, Zippy, do on a snow day. His two sisters and his mom and dad also join in the snow fun for parts of it. Sometimes Robby likes to be different like when he makes a "snow monster," instead of the snow angels his sister makes. The day ends with the family snuggling blankets around the fire, drinking hot cocoa. The illustrations are simple and pleasing with lots of color. A great book for the winter season.

Our son initially chose this book out of the library at random, and I enjoyed reading this book to him so much, I decided to buy it to add to his home reading library. It's fun and happy, and captures the spirit of childlike love of snow and winter. The main character, Robby's, friendship with the family dog, Zippy, is endearing, too.

This book did not look like much to me, but inside is hidden a most charming story about a snow day experience. The illustrations are adorable and I was amazed at the character development that a short kiddie book can hold.
