Where the heck is "It's Not Her"??!,
By A Customer
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Snow Day: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
The album as a whole is cute, mindless fun and actually sounds better than the flak that tends to saturate modern-day radio... and I do get a real kick out of it... but where the HECK is "It's Not Her", the stand out song in the entire movie?!Considering how the song is used in the film -- TWICE, no less -- you'd think it wound have been the album's closing number. In other words, there was no excuse for it to be missing! I did finally manage to get my hands on the song, but not from a music store since it isn't commercially available: because I own the movie in question (otherwise I never would have done the following, as it could be considered illegal), I had to resort to connecting my stereo-playing VCR up to my PC and recording it, then creating a backup of my original "Snow Day" CD with the extra song included. So yeah, I have the song, but it was an ANNOYANCE just to get it. Give me a break. In other words, I DEMAND a re-release of this CD with the extra song. And no, I will NOT settle for waiting 20 years for a "Footloose"-style "20th Anniversary With Bonus Tracks" re-release! And whether or not said action happens will demonstrate whether or not said album producers genuinely care about their audience. I say the above because I for one am sick and tired of albums that call themselves "soundtracks" yet neglect to carry ALL the songs. It's ridiculous! If this were still the 70s, you could bet your life that you'd have a REAL soundtrack with EVERY SCRAP of music included. But not by today's cheapie Hollywood "let's save all the cash we can" standards! Talk about contempt for one's audience.

Schuyler Fisk's song should have been on the soundtrack...,
By A Customer
This review is from: Snow Day: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
This CD is all right I guess. I did like "There She Goes" on the soundtrack.... But I really enjoyed Schuyler Fisk's track "It's Not Her" on the ending credits of the movie and it's not even on the soundtrack. Too bad. She's the artist who has the beautiful voice (hint: BEAUTIFUL VOICE) and cute lyrics to make a wonderful song. In other words, "It's Not Her" was the best track of the entire film. It's a shame Schuyler's little song was snuffed out by the poppy crap we call "music" today. If anyone wants to check out a cute tune, check out Schuyler's song at the end of the film. It's the second song in the credits...you know, AFTER the overly hyped "Another Dumb Blonde".

Daughter LOVES it!,
This review is from: Snow Day: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
I orderd this for my 5 year old daughter who heard it at a vacation rental and asked for it. Though she's only 5, she loves young teenie bopper teenage music, and she's obsessed with this CD! I have to admit that the tunes are quite catchy and I enjoy listening and dancing around to it as well!

I saw the movie and immediately considered buying the soundtrack... I'm so glad I did! This CD is upbeat, full of love songs of which only some are sappy. I played this CD with my mom and she wanted her own copy of it! I'm a country fan, so I don't really follow any of the artists on the CD individually but I love this collection of their songs. Great to sing along, dance, or just listen and smile to.

I think this is a very good c.d. My favorite songs are Wasting My Life, the LFO song, and the Smash Mouth song. All of the songs are really good though. I personally thought the movie was great and its one of my favorites, so I definetly would recomend this c.d.

I LUV it!,

This review is from: Snow Day: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
I love these songs! My favorites are "Wasting My Life" and "Another Dumb Blonde" Wasting my life is a funny song. It's first line is "Something in the way she never looks my way I'm in love" But one of the funniest lines, in my opinion, is "Something in the way she tells me to get away, I'm in love". Another dumb Blonde is a hip song, and Hoku (the artist) has a clear voice. I say whoever dosen't like these two songs (especilly "Another Dumb Blonde"), is wacko.
