The title of this CD is so appropriate to the haunting beauty of the music. As I listen, I am transported to a place of calm, beauty, and peacefulness. This has become my favorite music to listen to as I do my practice of T'ai Chi Chih-Joy Through Movement, because "Snow Falling on Silence" so perfectly compliments the gentle, rhythmic movements. I also enjoy listening to "Snow Falling on Silence" as I meditate, read, or do household chores. The music is just incredibly beautiful! I sometimes put the CD on as I go to bed, and find that it is very relaxing and soon ushers me into a wonderful night's sleep. I have 3 other wonderful CD's by Marina, "Liquid Silk, Wings of a Dream" and "Earth Ascending". I highly recommend her music without hesitation to anyone!

This wonderful ablum of American Indian influenced flute music will gently carry you away on a peaceful journey. Each of the four songs on this CD averaging 14 and a half minutes are long enough for a restful meditative journey. I enjoy listening to these songs during the day to refocus and concentrate. I also play them for my 1 month old son to calm him when he is over stimulated at night and he drifts off to peaceful sleep. This magnificant album as with Marina's many others reconnects you with mother earth and rejuvenates your soul.

Marina Raye's Native American flute has a haunting vibrato that sings like a quivering violin. There is no one like her! With the elegant juxtaposition of Joanne Robinson's Paraguayan Harp, these two prove that less is more. The raw sounds of each instrument, empowered with simple beauty, shine with the purity of each note. So many meditation tapes are made with synthesizer music. What a rare treat to have the natural sounds of these instruments strip away the clutter. In liner notes, Marina includes a guided meditation : "imagine the most perfect snowfall" and a lovely sparrow tale about peace, "The Weight of a Snowflake". As always, Marina's cover art work is a meditation in itself, calling one forth into the deep silence.

Marina has done it again.She has found how to use her flute again to fulfill the quiet needed after a granduer day of noise polution. Marina somehow captures the qiet so needed in music today.

Snow Falling On Silence is music for the mind and soul. My collection of music would not be complete without this CD. Marina has found that wonderful tone of melodic purity with her Native flute. You can tell she loves to play.

If you want to take a journey that will not cost much do not hesitate to purchase this CD. It will lead you anywhere you want to go. The peace and serinty that come in this package is worth every cent paid.

If you are looking for head banger music this album will not help. You earned the quiet that Snow Falling On Silence will give you.

Every cd of Marina's seems to get better. This is perfect as backround music for meditation, or body work (e.g-massage/energy work). She picks beautiful supportive instrumentation for her lovely original flute melodies. Most of her cd's are right at the perfect 60 minute length. I often give her cd's to my friends as gifts. I highly recomend this cd or any of her others works. Thank you Marina for your wonderful work!

I have several of Marina Raye's CD's, but Snow Falling on Silence takes one to that quiet place within that is often very elusive and difficult to achieve. While still remaining true to the Native American sound, adding the harp of Joanne Robinson has given this CD a truely exquisite sound. So easy to listen to!

This is my second Marina Raye cd. "Snow Falling on Silence" is very Japanese in character, soft, quiet, soothing. Very good to meditate or write by. My introduction to Marina Raye came with the cd, "Liquid Silk", a lovely, positive, Native-American flute sound. The background birds heard in the first song on the cd always start the real-life birds in my yard singing along. My spirit-writing teacher uses it as background music for our spirit-writing class. I love both for meditation and writing and easy listening.

A very relaxing 65 min Cd sure to be enjoyed with those who seek a break from the hustle and bustle of every day. Sit back on your easy chair anytime you wish to go into a deep period of relaxation and listen to the calm melodic notes.
