Snow Magic, January 23, 2004
This review is from: The Snow Ghosts (Hardcover)
Snow is magic. Any kid who stands inside and sees it falling knows the magic. Any kid who stands outside in white universe knows it even more. Leo Landry has introduced us to a new way to appreciate snow -- in the company of snow ghosts. Living in the far north, snow ghosts have their own way of life. "In the afternoons, the snow ghosts have fun sliding down long icy hills of snow on their smooth ghost bellies." Landry's simple line drawings with watercolor accents create a new world full of delightful characters delighting in the magic of snow.

Funny & sweet--a favorite, July 17, 2009
This review is from: The Snow Ghosts (Hardcover)
My 2-year old son LOVES this book and we read it almost every night. The drawings make us both giggle and the text has a lovely cadence and just the right balance between simple phrasing and more complex words. Highly recommended!
