This is my favorite collection of Hank's railroad work. The issuer did an excellent job of reclaiming the audio from the mono tracks. Hank is one of those artist who can tell a good story. His voice hits right on the mark in the remix of 'The Wreck of old '97' (Google it, there is a really interesting story behind the song). You'll have to give 'Duquesne, Pennsylvania', a few spins to note that he's mixing 'talking' and 'singing' in the same tempo, which is, in itself, is an interesting combination of story telling and singing for the time. When I first put this on the stereo, I was expecting to hear a lot of hiss from the old master tapes, however, there was none, and all the songs sounded so clear. However, for some reason, both my wife AND the cat left the room and closed the door. I like Hank, and if you do to, you'll like this collection of RailRoad tunes.

Great collection. Bought as gift for older brother- a certified train nut. Hank does excellent job on traditionals as well as newer songd. Highly recommended.

The CD was shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition..I find no fault with the music or the singer. Unfortunately no where did it mention it has 32 songs on this CD. It will not play in many CD players. It will work on my expensive surrond sound player but not in my Auto, the player in my basement or the one in the study. Kind of lame to if one needs to buy more expensive players to play this CD when the rest of my extensive CD collection, (well over 100) plays fine on all players. So I feel that should have been stated up front, that it was made outside of USA and will not play in many players more than a few years old. My car is only 10 year old Camry, and is good for another 10 at least. Either I buy a new car or buy new player for this car that runs fine with super mileage. Sticks will do that.. lol So buyer beware.. Hope you have more than one or two players or they are recently purchased players.

Some songs on this CD are found elsewhere, but still, it is a good theme production.

I am certain it would be welcomed by many TRAIN aficionados.

Anyone who appreciates Hank Snow's music should read The Hank Snow Story, written by Clarence Eugene "Hank" Snow and others. A great life story!

Hank Snow's railroad songs are my husband's favorites, so it was fantastic to find them all on one album.
