Another lost near-classic,

This review is from: Snow White and the Giants (Avon Original, S347) (Mass Market Paperback)
J.T. McIntosh wrote SF pulp in the 1950s-1970s. Most of his work is a cut above
mediocre, and some of it is actually pretty good. This is one of them. The plot is strongly reminiscent of the Kuttner/Moore classic novella, "Vintage Season." Mysterious time travelers impinge on the lives of everyday people, and their motives are, well ... mysterious. Nevertheless, it makes for fascinating reading, especially in the plot complication involving a person with the irresistible power to seduce any woman. This book is unlikely to be reprinted, but is still available used. Still, Amazon should bring this one to the Kindle as part of a series of classic pulp revivals.
