I ordered this book for a gift. The spine was broken when it arrived, so I had to return it. The content was beautiful, just poorly made. I did not get another because it looked like I might have the same problem. Construction on open out or pop out book needs to be very durable. Too bad because my little friends would have enjoyd this one.
I ordered 'The Apple Pip Princess' by the same author which is a great book, beautifully made.

I have given this book as a gift twice and even bought one for myself, it is just an amazing pop-up book, it has 3 layers of depth, the illustrations are lovely. A great gift!

This book is amazing in every way. A true version of the story, a beautiful layout, and a great book to capture children's attention.

This is a truly beautiful,amazing and magical book that is sure to be treasured by anyone who owns a copy of it. The book itself is really well constructed. And the three dimensional spreads are just amazing. It feels like you can actually walk into each scene. The level of detail is wonderful and the illustrations are just beautiful. I collect pop-ups and movable/toy books and this is easily one my favorites out of the whole collection.

Want a great children's book? Leave it to Candlewick Press. Yet again Candlewick Press presents a fantastic book for young and older readers alike. First of all the three dimensional effect is very elegant, not the usual pop up book, and meshes beautifully with the charming illustrations. The quality of the book is also very good and young readers can handle this book with no risk of ruining the three dimensional effect (as is the case of certain pop up books which disintegrate in the hands of children). My daughter, who is seven and has heard the Snow White fable many times, was stuck to the pages of this book and passed quite some times just studying all of the lovely details of the illustrations. Worth the money!
