Book Description

Snow White has bigger problems than a red apple. The Dwarfs have bigger problems than Snow White. Well, no, actually they don't, because Snow White is now a flesh-eating ghoul with an appetite for dwarf.

In this modern retelling of the classic fairy tale, a zombie plague from the 'real world' somehow enters the beloved realms of childhood fantasy, starting with the kingdom of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who is the deadest one of all?

There's no more living happily ever after. There's no more living, period.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Snow White and the Seven Dead Dwarfs is a novella featuring familiar fairy tale characters in bloody, brutal struggle against relentless, ravenous zombies. It's not suitable for very young children, because if they read it, or have it read to them, they will run screaming whenever they see Snow White, Prince Charming, or the Dwarfs at any of the Disney parks.

It's also not suitable for people with no stomach for zombies biting, chewing, and eviscerating popular fairy tale characters.

(And the less said about the undead dwarf toss, the better.)

Yes, Snow White, someday your prince willcome ... and you'll wish he hadn't.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bob McLain runs a wonderful website called DisneyDispatch where no one gets eaten and where you can learn lots about Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and all things Disney without having to worry about boarding up your home to keep out hordes of the undead.

Bob is the author of the horror short story, The Big Red Button, and he has forthcoming a second Disney-themed zombie novella called Z-Ticket, in which a magical day at Walt Disney World turns into a magical bloodbath as the zombie apocalypse plunges the park into purgatory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good, old fashioned, Zombie pulp! June 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm admittedly a Disney and fairy tale whore. On top of that, I love zombies. So reading a new twist on Snow White like this was definitely something I was into.
No punches are held back in this short novella...it's almost non-stop zombie action from start to finish, and inserted in a clever way into the world of Snow White. The story follows some of its more traditional roots, but injecting a bit of zombie in to "liven" it up a bit.
Great, fast little read from start to finish. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Could NOT Put This Down! October 13, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
After thoroughly enjoying his other story, The Big Red Button, I bought this. And then I forgot about it until it was the only fresh meat left on my Kindle. WOW, can this guy write zombies!!! WOW!!! I love zombies and this was (as absurd as it sounds) quite magical. It was TRULY inspired! My favorite are the Sandman Slim novels and I have to say that Bob McLain's zombie fiction is absolutely on par with those. I'm seriously thinking about rereading this tale tonight. It was THAT good!

4.0 out of 5 stars a good zombie story August 1, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm a Disney fan but i had no problem reading this. It's very graphic so dont expect something you would let your kid read. There is a nice little twist with oneof the dwarves near the end which made the story a little more than just zombies eating humans (or dwarves). Its all very tongue in cheek and a quick, fun read

Fast paced with the whole story in fairytale and zombie land. A dark read for sure. Enjoy the not quite typical fairytale.

I was expecting much more than this short story gave me. It felt like it was written in a very quick session, not edited or otherwise looked at again. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Predictable
Cute idea, poor execution. It's an easy read and moderately entertaining, but won't leave you on the edge of your seat or wanting more.

The story was okay. It lost me at some at times though. Probably won‘t read again, but I like the idea.

This is a fun little read. I look forward to reading book 2. Hopefully Cinderella will fare better than Snow and the dwarves.
