I started this work to begin the process of healing. It has helped me deal with the traumatic events of my life as much or more than seeing a therapist. I hope that in some small way the reader might be inclined to touch a part of themselves through this work and be better for it. Some of the poems are from visions during bi-polar episodes and pure fantasy; I hope they will not offend.

Amy Feemster was born in California. Traveling the country and seeing the beauty of the land we call the United States is one of her favorite pastimes. She became diagnosed with bi-polar disorder in 1998. This is her first attempt at writing for publication. Amy resides in a small town in Alaska.
