5.0 out of 5 stars We Listen To This Every Night
We started putting our preschool-age daughter to sleep to this CD almost a year ago. She is still in LOVE with it. We play it every single night as part of her bedtime routine. And, it's honestly the best children's music we've ever heard. It's beautiful, moving and comforting. My favorite track (as a Mom) is "Never want to have you far away"...My daughter's favorite...

My favorite track (as a Mom) is "Never want to have you far away"...My daughter's favorite track is "I'm not afraid" My daughter cannot go to sleep without Gia's voice (since my own singing is terrible! :). When she wakes in the middle of the night, she re-starts the CD so she can fall back to sleep. Bottomline, I am waiting for Gia to release another children's CD, so we relax, & read our bedtime stories to more of her music.

My children love this CD and what's even better, the rest of us do to! It's beautiful music for kids and adults. It's one of my favorite gifts for kids (and parents).

5.0 out of 5 stars Gia Ciambotti's Other Projects, August 15, 2005

Hi, my name is Michael and although I haven't yet purchased Gia Ciambotti's "Snowflake" which I hope to add to my collection soon, I just wanted to recommend another of her projects to those who bought and enjoyed this release. Gia Ciambotti is certainly a wonderful singer and artist, and she has also released a project with a band she was in called The Graces. The album was called "Perfect View" which she recorded in 1989 with Charlotte Caffey from The Go-Go's and Meredith Brooks who came to prominence with her solo CD "Blurring The Edges" in 1997.

Gia shows her sublime soft rock musical talent, and if you liked "Snowflake" which I hope to soon, you'll love her vocals on the "Perfect View" album. Charlotte Caffey wrote all the songs with various songwriting partners, including Belinda Carlisle (who co-wrote but doesn't sing on "Out In The Fields" which is sung by Charlotte, Meredith, and Gia as is "Tomorrow").

Gia also sings a stunning duet with Meredith Brooks on "50,000 Candles Burning", and has two lovely solos with "When The Sun Goes Down" and "We Never Met".

This probably sounds like it should be a review for "Perfect View" by The Graces which is certainly a perfect CD, but I just wanted to alert "Snowflake" fans to Gia's other released project.

Cheers, Michael

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this CD, July 30, 2004
This review is from: Snowflake (Audio CD)
I really love this girl's voice and her selection of music. The song "Snowflake" is very moving, as is "Sail away little monkey". I think some of this is so good, it's almost too good to be children's music. My daughter loves it and so do I. The versions of some of the traditional songs on it are really unique and truly worth owning, even as an adult. The last track sounds like it could be on a Bonnie Raitt album. Gia is fantastic, soulful and has a great approach to kid's music. I hope she does more CD's. I'll buy every one! I think every track on this CD is recorded and produced so well, it outshines every other children's CD I've bought.

5.0 out of 5 stars My child's favorite CD, July 23, 2004
This review is from: Snowflake (Audio CD)
This is a really wonderful CD. Gia's a great singer and songwriter and although I'd never heard of her before, I thought I'd gamble and buy a copy for my daughter. Glad I did! I think this CD has the most beautiful arrangements of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Whole Wide World" I've ever heard, and the title song "Snowflake" is amazing. My daughter absolutely loves it and we listen to it over and over in the car as we drive. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.
