About the Author
Jane Lawson began cooking at the age of eight. After many years working as a chef in Sydney, she moved into publishing, combining her love of cookbooks and cooking. She is now a consultant to a variety of food-related businesses and publications. Jane is the author of Spice Market, Grub, Yoshoku, A Little Taste of Japan and Cocina Nueva and is the co-author of BBQ Food for Friends, which won a Gourmand World Cookbook Award in 2003.

A lovely cook book for cold weather!! Beautiful photography and enticing recipies, I am looking forward to making every single one. Presented by an Australian chef, centered on Scandinavia and a bit from the Slavic areas, the recipies are clearly written and not your "run of the mill" or overly "kinky"that so many cookbooks seem to be today. The hard back edition is such beautiful quality, too, a joy to handle with beautiful, high quality paper.

Finally cooked out of this book after owning it for several years. Made the Winter Vegetable Crumble and it was 100% delicious. Thumbs up! Very excited about trying some more recipes from this beautifully photographed book! :)

I received the hardcover version of this book as a Christmas present and it is utterly gorgeous! The photographs are stunning and it is a beautiful book to hold and look at. I can't wait for some colder weather so that I can try (most) of these recipes.
