I am an experienced snowshoer and have used and owned several brands, sadly, don't waste the money on these shoes. I thought I'd have an inexpensive pair for friends and family that occasionally come along with me. I took these out last weekend for a tryout and never made it 10 feet. Each shoe has 2 ski boot type bindings, they snap and ratchet to tighten, 1 out of the 4 bindings would not work, FAIL. Your boot is held into the bindings by a strap around the heel, boot in, tighten strap, plastic buckle breaks, FAIL. Don't waste your money.

These snowshoes were a great purchase! they are sturdy and have several strong metal pieces to grip the snow and ice. they truly are all terrain for snowshoers who like to challenge themselves and climb hilly and steep areas. the only slight problem is that the plastic knob piece on the poles occasionally will fall off in the snow. if you're looking for snowshoes- these are a great buy and will last many winters! my friends and I almost bought snowshoes from job lot for the same price and i'm thankful we didn't. we ran into a couple at near by park who bought theirs from job lot and they looked flimsy and cheap. they only had a tiny metal grip under the toe. after we saw theirs, we knew that we made the right purchase.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He is an avid Boundary Waters Canoe Area man and goes up every winter for a camping trip. When he got these he was so excited and tried them out in our back yard. He loved them so much that he insisted that I get a pair just like them so we could go snowshoing together!

These snowshoes are obviously made with very cheap materials. When we got to the trailhead and started to put them on, we noticed this right away. The straps are made of cheap, inflexible plastic and the clips feel like they could break at any minute. My hushand's toe strap broke before we could even start snowshoeing. My ankle strap didn't want to click into place because the clips are so cheap. I would not recommend purchasing these. We completely wasted our money. We will spend a little bit extra next time to get a better quality product.

Both shoes broke Christmas day, the first time out. I wasn't doing anything special. The metal rivets are cheap and pop out. Two strap broke. Had to field fix them with zip ties! Going to try and return, if possible.

This was the best purchase I made out of all the Christmas gifts I bought this year! The value for the product is outstanding and the snowshoes and poles themselves are well made and excellent for everyone from beginners to experts! The additional carry bag and the quality built-on crampons are perfect for a mixed-terrain outing (we are in Colorado)! I would highly recommend this product to other interested shoppers!

Used them a number of times last winter. Mostly off trail. 2 to 3 feet of powder. Worked well and a great workout. Easy to get on and off.

Just got them yesterday afternoon and took them for the maiden voyage this am. I have 2-3 feet of snow in my back yard and woods. I weigh 210 lbs. The 30" shoes kept me above snow with no problem. The crampons were great on the up hill, no probs. They seemed to slip more on the down hills (not sure if this is common to snowshoes as I am a beginner). The straps were very easy to work and I was able to put them on without taking my gloves off. Overall very happy for the $ spent.
