No hydraulics, no electrical connections: how does this work? Once you install the frame with the upright bars in the trailer hitch receiver, the plow part loose up-and-down on those bars to adjust for changes in elevation as you plow snow off the road. This is a clearly well-designed, well thought out piece of machinery, and has turned what used to be an hour and a half of miserable work using a gasoline powered snow thrower into a warm and comfortable three-minute operation. Highly recommended.

Love this thing... exceeded my expectations. You do need to be mechanically inclined to assemble. Just in time for a major snowstorm. Works flawlessly. I have a 2007 FJ cruiser and a small driveway but a busy schedule. This definitely is a huge time saver. Better than a snow blower!

This is a great and simple design. Works great for my own large driveway needs.
No more waiting for hired plowing contractors to show up when i need them most.
Independence is great. Now i have control of when plowing is going to happen.

After having this product for almost a month I am pleased with it. I consider it more of a snow blade than plow. But it works as advertised. Little difficult to use at first when blade is on rear of vehicle as you plow in reverse but you get the hang of it after a while.

Nice quality construction and material. Only thing I didn't like was that it had no lights. The thing does sit lower than you lights but because I only had a 1 1/4 inch receiver and had to use a 2 inch adapter the plow sticks out quite a bit from the vehicle. I had to add some trailer lights to the unit for fear in bad weather or when dark someone may not realize the plow sticks out quite a bit and may rear end you. Wish they had an optional lighting kit as my DIY modification looks a little clunky but does the trick.

I just wanted to say this is the perfect solution for people who aren't in the snow removal business, but need a plow to clear a driveway more than 30 feet. Easy to install, easy to use, pushes snow 6 to 8 inches deep down a 1,300 foot drive without any issues. I've used it for two winters now and can't say ANYTHING bad about it. I not only use it on my drive, but honestly look for neighbors and friends to plow out every time it snows. You can't beat the price, it's durable, not overly heavy and it pushes snow without fail. If you can't afford a $4,000 plow, or have a vehicle that really can't hold the weight of one of those hydraulic beasts, shoot even if you have the money and a 1 ton truck, this is the plow for you!

I've owned this Snowsport plow for 2 winters and I can say that I am very impressed with it. I own a 1999 Ford Expedition and due to the lite duty front end I cannot put on a regular hydraulic or electric snow plow. I came across this ( with free shipping) and decided to go for it. You get a front hitch that custom fits directly to the frame of your truck. It took about 1 ½ hours to install. The blade is made of heavy aluminum that takes about an hour to assemble. During the first snow storm I was pushing the snow around while inside my warm truck. It works best in 4x4 low in first gear. As soon as you start backing up, the blade fold's down and rides on top of the snow. You can't pull the snow back with this blade due to the folding action. Its completely manual. Tilts left and right and of course straight. To travel with the snow blade you hook it to the specially designed receiver. It usually takes 2 swipes to make a clear path depending on the amount of snow.( The blade does not lock in the down position) It won't dig up grass which will be good during the spring.
I strongly recommend this Snowsport plow setup for personal use and helping out neighbors during heavy snows.

I owned this for 3 winters now and have it installed on the front of a 2WD Ford F150 pickup truck.

I have about 70 yards of driveway to keep open. It has been a wonderful aid in the moving of up to 10 inches of snow.

On the 50 yards straight stretch of the driveway the snow will pile up and actually stop the truck so you have to push it off the side of the drive, back up, and then finish pushing the drive.

The biggest problem is keeping the 2WD truck from getting stuck. 1,000 pounds of weight over ther rear axel works fine and a set of tire chains really helps.

I back the truck into the garage and store the blade in the down position so it's ready to go as soon as I open the door and it takes the weight off the front of the truck. When I need to push snow I just open the door and drive forward.

Lifting the blade into the transport position is pretty easy since you do it one side at a time.

When you have the blade in the lowered position made sure you put the pins back in the top of the vertical guides to keep the blade from accidentally popping off and damaging the front of the truck!

The blade can be set to push straight or with a 5 degree offset to the left or right. The edges of the blade have 18 inch long, plastic coated, pieces of cable to act as position guides so you know where the edges of the blade actually is.

There are handles on both sides of the blade so you can manually lift and lower the blad to and from its transport position.

The blade weighs about 70 pounds and you lift about half of that as you raise or lower each side of the blade.

The blade is made of aluminum and has a replaceable rubber piece at the bottom so it doesn't damage the driveway.

All in all, I'm very happy.
