Vintage Howard Alden, December 28, 2011

It's hard to think of more encomiums to add to the litany of Howard Alden tributes here. Anyone who hasn't heard (usually with some degree of awe) the manner in which he incorporates the most subtle, delicate, touches of articulation to his electric jazz guitar hasn't heard the full capabilities of the instrument. There are other fine Alden albums, but this is certainly one of his best. And the recording quality is fittingly superb.
