4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Holiday Reading
_On A Snowy Night_ contains two short stories that were originally novels -- "The Christmas Basket" and "The Snow Bride". You can look up both these titles to get an idea of the plot for each. The second story in this book isn't bad... but the first one is really predictable. You know exactly what's going to happen from the very beginning, and the only reason to keep reading is to see if it's as bad as you think. Debbie Macomber's more recent books are much, much, much better. You can tell this was an early effort and it doesn't live up to what readers...

4 stars -- The Christmas Basket is the more entertaining of the two, but the humor in The Snow Bride makes up for its blandness. Getting two for the price of one is not such a bad deal either!

I love her later stories... but this one, skip.

This is another great book of Debbie Macomber collection. I got this book foe my wife, as she is really in on reading all of Debbie's books, as soon as a new book comes out we get it. This book is very interesting and she doesn't like to put in down, unless she has to, until it is finished. I would highly recommend reading this book,so you can also form your own opinion. I am sure you will agree with my opinion, and the more you read other Debbie Macomber's books you will feel the same as others who read her books.
I preordered this book from Amazon.com and was very pleased how they handled this order and all my other orders. Amazon.com let me know when this book was coming out and I could preorder and keep me up-to-date and e-mailed when it was sent out.

Typical Debbie Macomber book, taking issues in real life and including them into a love story. I'd read Christmas Basket as a separate book years ago but it was good to read again as part of this small anthology. Both stories are well written, captivate the reader, and gets you into the holiday spirit.

1.0 out of 5 stars So predictable, January 6, 2012

This review is from: On a Snowy Night: The Christmas Basket\The Snow Bride (Mass Market Paperback)
Two society women fighting in a toy store, throwing stuffed animals, banging carts? Please. This is just plain dumb. Then the love interests are so ridiculous and predictable it's enough to make me delete it from my Kindle. A ten year old would be able to see the impracticality of so called adults behavior.

I thought the Cedar Cove series at least had some interesting moments and fairly believable characters but this book is so unbelievable I can't believe anyone bothered to publish this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Books the First Time Around, December 30, 2011

I loved The Christmas Basket. I hate when they re-release the books with a new cover and new title and you end up buying the same book twice :(

I just love Debbie Macomber books! This was my first book on my new Kindle! Great story lines with a bit of drama/adventure, lots of romance, and hope for the future! Great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Holiday stories, December 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: On A Snowy Night (Kindle Edition)
Both of these short stories are fun Christmas reads. The light hearted love stories make for easy reading during the holiday season. The Snow Bride was fun to read as you consider the cold Alaskan weather. The feuding moms in The Christmas Basket create havoc for their children. Enjoyable Holiday Romances!
