Sometimes You need live albums like this to be reminded that and why jazz is THE genre which conveys the richest package of emotions. While listening to the first song of the album, right from the very first seconds, my mind flew directly back to year 1964 when Art Blakey's 'free for all' album was recorded: such monumental recording relives today thanks to David Weiss supergroup, where Nir Felder's extraordinary guitar work takes the place of Cedar Walton's piano adding new vibrant propulsion. 'Point of departure' are the new jazz messengers. A Wonderful live album for those in search of exquisite food for greedy ears nostalgic of 'free for all' power ( in my opinion not frequently been experienced in these days ) . Thank You Mr Weiss
