We bought this extra base for my husbands car (we bought the Snugride infant carseat in Colby as well as the matching stroller - we LOVED both). It was awesome to not have to switch the base in and out (especially since my SUV doesn't have LATCH). This base/carseat works awesome with or without LATCH (my SUV doesn't have it and his car does). It's very sturdy, very safe and very durable. Highly recommend getting an extra for when the grandparents take the baby, or for your spouse's car!

Purchasing this extra base was worth every penny. These bases are tricky to install correctly and it was nice to know that once we had it in there we didn't have to wrestle with moving it back and forth between vehicles. Just click the carrier in and we were on our way. Also especially nice because our daughter was a fall baby. I would not have wanted to spend 10 minutes outside during a Michigan winter trying to move the base around, nor would I have wanted to have only had a convertible carseat. The Snugride carrier and base in the way to go!

I love these things! One of the biggest hassles in my life is the effort it takes to get my boys in and out of the car in a reasonable amount of time. Whoever came up with this idea is so smart! Just pop the carseat in, and you're ready to go! In no time your child will be secured in the car, at the right level, many times without even waking them up! I also like that the baby has a little more freedom of movement since the seatbelt is not across the top of the carseat. Worth every penny!

Not only did my husband and I order a second base for our second car, but we ordered a second base for my parents car because they live in another state and it was one less thing us to fly with!

This is a godsend if you have a nana who occaisionally picks up baby in her car. It is such a relief not to have to move the whole contraption every time.

Make sure you get an extra base for the second car...you don't want to fiddle with straps when you need to go out!

My wife and I each have one for our cars, my parents have one for their car, and my mother-in-law has one for her car.

Well worth the investment if your baby rides in more than one car.

Parents should make sure the base is installed correctly in granparents' cars because it's a little tough for older people to install.

I drop my son off at the sitter and my Husband picks him up. This saves a ton of time and hassle with the base. We thought about getting 1 more for the grandmas!

This car base makes taking baby with you so much easier! Once you get the base installed all you have to do is place the infant seat in the base and go. We have a base in each of our cars so we don't have to move the base from car to car. We did find that it did not work well in one of our cars because the seat angle was too steep so I would suggest testing it out in your vehicle before you buy it.
