I received a Snugg notebook cover for my Samsung 8,9 Galaxy tablet. It appears to be leather and it's well made. The case is extends about a 1/4 inch beyond the tablet which offers some protection in the event the tablet is dropped. All ports are accessible and the camera lens is not obscured. The inside is lined with a soft microfiber. There is an elastic band covered with the microfiber but I doubt that I'll use it. The cover shuts tightly with magnets. It can be used in a wedge position for typing or at a 90 degree angle for viewing. However both positions are in landscape mode and it is not designed to be propped open in the portrait position. However, it has a few shortcomings. The case is about as thick as the tablet itself, and the weight is about 8 ounces which is slightly more than half the weight of the tablet. Also, the leather is around the edge in the inside of the case and it interferes somewhat with touching the icons at the bottom of the screen. Finally, the corners of the case are exposed so if the tablet falls on a corner edge there is little protection. So while I am not disappointed with the case I'd probably look for a thinner, lighter case without the leather edge on the inside of the case and with better protection on the corners.

I just received this yesterday. It is a perfect fit for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Once you slide the unit in the case it has two straps with velcro that fold inside to hold the unit in. By placing the case cover in a slot in the back, the tab can be placed in one of two positions. It holds the tab in an angled horizontal position (Tasche) or vertical position (Housse). When in the Tasche position the tab unit is actually upside down (view flips over) and this is a good thing. You can use the charger, the SD reader or USB adapter without them being in the way. In either position it is very stable and can be used without fear of it falling over, etc. There is also a hand strap on the back. When the cover is closed there are a couple of magnets that securely keep it in place. The leather is not slippery and has good tactile feel to it. The unit, leather and stitching, is very well constructed. I looked around quite a bit on the web for a cover that would fold the right way, etc. Many were much more expensive than this unit. I definitely recommend this unit.

I couldn't be happier with the fit and feel of this leather case/cover for my Samsung tablet. The cover closes with a velcro tab under the tablet, holding the tablet secure in the leather "frame" around the screen. All the buttons and ports are accessible when inside the cover, although you do have to leave the cover open when you plug it in during recharging. Highly recommended all in all.
