Product Description

Little ones will actually look forward to bedtime when this plush animal friend that doubles as a fun nightlight is waiting for them! Its soft fur is comfortingly cuddly and the projection of colorful stars keeps the scary darkness away.
Turns the Ceiling into a Night Sky
Simply press the critter's plastic shell and it becomes a projector, creating a constellation of stars that soothes fears of the dark as your child drifts into dreamland.
4 Options for Star Colors
Choose a different color every night: blue, green, amber, or a continuous loop of all 3 colors changing from one to the next every 8 seconds. It's great for playtime as well as bedtime!
Use and Care
Snuggle Stars are powered by 3 AAA batteries or a 4.5V DC converter (not included). Because they contain small parts which could present a choking hazard, they should not be used by children under 3 years of age. The plush fur may be spot cleaned and air dried; do not put it in the washing machine or dryer.

My Granddaughter has one of the Pillow Pets Dream Lites (the butterfly) and enjoys playing with it, so when I was offered a complimentary sample to test for review, I went in and checked hers out, and asked if she would help Grammy write a review about a bear. We accepted together and while I am writing the review - she gets to keep the bear. :-)

When the bear arrived, we explored the likenesses and differences together (with good Grandma bonding time).

On the bear, the entire BIG area of stars IS the button! No tiny parts for her to deal with. However, because of this, she had to learn to put the bear somewhere flat to push down on it. Both have the same issue with the fact that there is a small piece of fabric covering the velcro that she struggles to remember to remove when using it to turn the pillow into a stuffed animal. Both are cute, both are easy to use, both have wonderful LED colored lights - solid or varied, and both project stars onto the ceiling. In fact, both of them have a timer on/timer off button - essential since my granddaughter hates items she can't control.

But there is one HUGE difference between the two items she didn't notice. The price tag! This one comes at significantly less than the Pillow Pets item, with all of the nice features.

If you are looking for a Teddy Bear that is a cool toy with lights for kids and won't break the bank, don't be afraid of this one. It is just as awesome as the more expensive model! While I received a complimentary sample for review, having the more expensive one already in our possession, I am very sensitive to the price difference, and was grateful to be able to find a toy that did something very much the same but didn't cost as much. So this one is both Granddaughter and Grandma approved.

We were looking for a nightlight for our youngest son's room, and I found this gem! My twin boys have the turtle constellation nightlight, but that was nearly twice as much as this bear. It's cute, soft, and works great for what we need it for. We simply touch the back of it when we leave his room every night and it lights up for an adequate amount of time before auto shut-off. I highly recommend this product!

So glad I didn't pay $20+ for the popular turtle one I was looking at. I feel like it really couldn't be any better than this one. And this is a fraction of the price!

Lights project on the ceiling and walls nicely without being overly bright. The bear itself is very soft and snugly. Has 5 different settings for picking display color or randomizing the colors through a cycle. Has a switch where you can chose for it to stay on until you manually turn it off, or for it to display for 20 mins before auto shutoff.

My only complaint is that the battery compartment is cheap ( functional and covered at all times unless you're changing the batteries) but one screw was a little harder to get in and out ( the main one you need for opening the battery door). A mild frustration and my only reason for deducting a star.
Great little product and goes perfect in my wildlife themed nursery!

The Snuggle Stars bear is such a cute little thing, just a tad smaller than my daughter's old Dream Lites penguin. Like Dream Lites, there's a little Velcro tab on the bottom she can undo to open the bear into a flat pillow. But this pillow is not for resting on. It has a hard plastic dome on top with cutouts of moon and stars through which lights shine, creating a starry night. Press it once for auto-changing colors, twice for amber, three times for blue, four times for green, and five to turn it off. Of course, she doesn't ever turn it off, she lets it turn off automatically after twenty minutes . . . after she's fallen asleep.

The photo on Amazon show lights that are multi-colored, but the bear only shines one color at a time. That disappointed my daughter a little, but her Dream Lites doesn't have multi-colored stars, either. Also, there is an area on the dome that does not have any cutouts, which creates what my daughter calls a "patch" in her sky. This effect is visible in the Amazon photo as a round area near the top center that is starless.

My daughter likes how she can turn on the lights by pressing the dome instead of searching for the button. She thinks it's cuter than her Dream Lites. I think it's nicer because it doesn't have a cutout of a penguin face looking down at me from the ceiling. I don't know how kids can sleep at night when they are being stared at. LOL. Yes, she likes it more than Dream Lites. Snuggle Stars sleeps on her bed every night. She gave the Dream Lites to her brother.

Maybe I just got a bad one, but it was REALLY bad. I was worried about the quality seeing I got it for less than ten dollars. When it arrived I put batteries in it and it turned on (pressing the dome to turn on is weird), so it was used that night on the timer. Next day I go to turn it on and it doesn't turn on, the bottom is flaming hot! I eventually removed the batteries after they cooled down. Very scary. Luckily I don't keep this kind of stuff in my son's crib. So I put new batteries and it came on one more time, but not since. When I put new batteries in it, they are instantly warm and smell funny. I'm of course getting a refund.
