This lambs wool baby bassinet pad with elastic bands measures 15 inches by 30 inches. The elastic bands slip under the ends of a cradle mattress, bassinet mattress or changing table mattress. Machine washable, this wool pad means baby is warmer in the winter and cooler in summer as the wool mattress pad holds in heat yet absorbs perspiration. Machine wash cool, gentle cycle, Line dry. If needed, brush the wool when still damp with a pet slicker brush Made in USA by Snugglewool, a trademark of Rittenhouse Industries. Note: Due to sanitary reasons, products are returnable only if defective as determined by manufacturer. Note: Snugglewool recommends using a fitted sheet over the pad ; the benefits of the wool remain unchanged and it gives the customer peace of mind. However, nurseries in Australia and New Zealand lie newborns directly on the wool pads, which is also perfectly safe. There are no hazardous chemicals used in treating the wool, and unlike actual lambskins that are much furrier and could pose a risk, Snugglewool pads have only a 1" pile. I am disappointed in this product...
The description for it quotes that the wool is an inch deep but mine is not at all and also very thin and sparse - nothing like what I expected for Australian/NZ wool (I should know since I come from Australia) and nothing like the photo - the picture shows a lush sheepskin with the baby's hands disappearing in to the wool...a baby's hand/fingers would not disappear in to the one I received... not the quality which was described nor what I expected after reading the other reviews

I love this! We use a variety of woolens for our baby and are happy with all of them. I use this pad as a changing pad, a blanket, and a spot for my baby to sleep when she is on our bed (to prevent spit-up and pee from getting onto our bed and to keep her warm and cozy). I have washed it several times using Eucalan wool wash, and it continues to be soft and lovely.

the snugglewool bassinet pad was the only size pad that would fit my odd-sized changing table which came with a paper-thin vinyl cushion. My baby LOVED being put on this pad from birth. We use a bassinet sheet over it - I now want one for the crib. It is so comfy!
