when i first started playing this game i said to myself, this looks like its gonna be great..

amazing colorful cartoon graphics..great detail..good story..the game was long..dont remember much about the music...you end up being three different characters by the end of the game..lots of locations to visit..the dialoge was perfect...not too short..right to the point...no long boring conversations..the puzzles were good...easy to medium mostly...and a couple tough ones..the controls were good..no problems..no glitches..you can run and you can double click to make a quick exit to the next screen..the dialoge lacked in the humor department.. mostly bad executed blonde jokes that went in one ear and out the other..not funny..

BUT....

there was some things that bothered me about the game...first was that you do a lot of running back and forth...and i mean A LOT..you go talk to someone and they say...you should go talk to this person...you go to that person and he says you should go over here to find what you are looking for..which is right where you started looking...this extended the length of the game ..THE BAD WAY...when you go from screen to screen you get a picture to look at for 4 or 5 seconds...so when you are going back and forth like i said it gets a bit aggravating...they should be ashamed of themselves for saying that you use 3 characters...because you use one for about 20 seconds..and its completely guided...and the other which is some small animal..is also completely guided...you cant leave the screen..the very and i mean very easy puzzle is right in front of you and thats it...done...could have been much better..there are no cut scenes..or video to watch..this is done with comic style pictures and voices...not sure why?

this game could have been a classic, if they did away with all the meaningless back and forth waste of time stuff.if they had some cut scenes..had you actually use the other two characters..this could have been very well done....

this game is not bad...im just pointing out the things that could have been better and that got under my skin...i would play this game as an adventure fan...3 stars is what this game deserves..no more no less...it is worth playing and buying...its just that they just missed the mark on what could have been a great classic

2.0 out of 5 stars "Ugh!" at this game! I definitely regret buying it., December 29, 2011

Originally I was excited to buy this game because I thought it was really funny when I saw my friend playing it. I especially love her little references to pop culture; for example, when you click on the grave outside of town Sunny says, "If I wanted to loot corpses I would play WoW." I got a good kick out of that.

The game definitely has its funny moments, which redeems it for a two star rating; however, almost every other aspect of the game is quite terrible.

1) Every screen has a loading time. This is terrible for an adventure game where you're constantly going back and forth between screens. Also, it might not have been so bad if the loading screen was short, but it takes almost 10 seconds to load, which gets tiring very quickly.

2) When you 'look' at an item, she always says the same thing. This might not be a problem, but oftentimes she speaks for 10 or so lines of dialogue; so if you accidentally click 'look' on an item, you're looking at clicking 10 times to zoom past the dialogue each time. It was driving me bonkers!

3) When you talk to people, they say the same thing also. This might not be a problem, but in the same way as number 2, people often speak for 10 or so lines of dialogue. So if you ask someone about something you've already asked, you end up having to click 10 or so times to skip through it.

4) It often doesn't remember what you've asked people; so all of their dialogue can return. This might not be so bad, but there was one particular instance where a guy hands you a book, and it takes seemingly forever for him to walk over to the bookcase and find it, which you cannot skip. So if you accidentally click on that line of dialogue again, you have to go through the whole thing all over again. Also, by repeating what they said, it ruins the flow of the story because characters end up repeating themselves while Sunny asks them the same questions. It doesn't make any sense that she would ask them questions that she already heard the answers to, which breaks the game immersion.

5) Some of the puzzles are practically impossible; for example, to knock down the rope ladder you have to throw a cork at a weight. This makes little to no sense because how can a tiny, light-weight cork knock down a large, heavy weight? Also, another part of the game asks you to find an ancestral bone, which you have to explore the entire island to find. All the obvious places are no go, but the bone is actually being used by the drummer in front of a hut. How the heck are you supposed to see that? And maybe this wouldn't be so bad to find if there weren't 10 second loading screens between each screen. So with going back and forth through 20 different locations, it makes to be a very annoying treasure hunt. It would be like playing Where's Waldo, but there's only one Waldo in the entire book, and it took you 10 seconds to flip a page.

6) Your inventory bar is absolutely excessive. Near the end of the game, I had somewhere around 25 different items, and since some puzzles require you to combine items, it made puzzle-solving even more excruciating than it had to be.

All in all, I refused to finish this game. It was just too awful. I was sick of the horrible puzzles and the excessive loading screens. This is probably one of the worst adventure games I've ever played.
