Gil Scott-Heron is an American poet and musician known primarily for his late 1960s and early 1970s work as a spoken word performer. He is associated with African American militant activism and is best known for his poem and song "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised."

So Far, So Good and is only getting better. This collection of Gil Scott-Heron song/poems are masterful. Many of his classics are included in this book. If you are just discovering Gil, this book is a must for you. If you have been listening to Gil since the early 70's, then reading this back will only bring back vivid memories. A must have in your collection.

Very nice collection of Gil Scott-Heron's works. This volume is also included in "Now and Then", except for the introduction and afterword. Otherwise, a great little book of GSH's finest works.

Wow!!!! This collection includes Gil's Best work as far as I am consered. He includes some of his best works as a poet and as a musican. I think that you can't grasp the suttle nuonces if you just read it once, it forces you to read it many many times. I highly recomend it if you are intrested in politics, race relations, satire or just how the mind of Gil Scotts works.
