Much more than music,

This review is from: So Far [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is an audiovisual experience, with a concert supplemented by computer graphics and other special effects. The cover says it was designed to induce altered consciousness, and I think it succeeds. This is an awesome movie, I highly recommend it. There's much more here than just a concert video. Buy this now! I wish it were around on DVD.

Rivals the Grateful Dead movie,

This review is from: So Far [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the Grateful Dead at their peak musically and equipment-wise with their most massive assortment of drum hardware on stage used to the max. This is what really introduced me to the Grateful Dead, they're all about sound. I think it's more elaborate then Dead Ahead and more visuals. Both drummers literally walk around meandering through their drum set forests hitting this and that, adding tone and audio sustain to the really cool video graphics and war scenes displayed. Just real cool and you get lost in the music as it makes sense.
Needs to be on DVD.

It's fantastic. The space section is absolutely unreal. I love the drumming. Even the intro visual into them doing Uncle John's band.. wow. 10 of 10. is there any other dead video like this?
