5.0 out of 5 stars Mica is SO Good!
I was hooked from just hearing the song, "My One Temptation" on the radio. I took a chance and purchased the vinyl and was like Damn, this girl can blow! My favorites are My One Temptation, Where Is The Love (with Will Downing), Don't Give Me Up, Sway & Dance The Blues Away. At last, I have it on cd.

In 1988. UK singer Mica Paris was celebrated as the next new thing, new soul hope - it came to nothing, not only because Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner were stil rulling the charts, but also because Paris was really not so special.
Her album somehow got released in my country (probably as a part of some package deal,if you want Stones you have to take seven crappy...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of her very great albums, December 23, 2003

Mica is a UK soulqueen who has to be taken seriously. She is still there, she is still touring and she is also a wonderful classical singer (what she is doing at the moment). This is her debut album with all her well-known hits like "My one temptation" and "Breathe life into me". It's a MUST for every soul fan. Good classic soul. Wonderful

This is an excellent CD .My One Temptation is my favorite song.I love the duet with Will Downing ''Where is the love?'' which is a remake of the song Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway did several years before.

5.0 out of 5 stars "So Good" is so good!, November 5, 2011

Mica Paris is of the most under rated singers of our time. I've been a fan of her music since her first album, So Good. This is a re-release of that album with extra songs and some great remixes. If you're a Mica Paris fan then this is a must-have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally I got Mica Paris' debut album on CD....., June 6, 2011
This review is from: So Good (Audio CD)
Years ago, I initially purchased "So Good" on cassette. My tape deck and walk man stretched and warped this awesome gem by the UK's number one soul diva, Mica Paris. To finally have it on CD is truly a Godsend for me.My old raggedy tape is going into the dumpster. I have loved and adored the vocals that Paris has put down.
She remains true to her smashing debut. This reissue has some delightful remixes of the original "So Good" tracks. I like the time and care taken in representing the whole product.
Die hard Mica Paris fans are sure to snatch this on up as I did. New listeners not too familiar with Mica Paris will be very impressed with her low, smokey range as she modulates it effortlessly. No hype, she is real talent.
US Black radio slept on her in favor of hack R&B and Hippy dippy doo doo Hop and jive Rap.

In 1988. UK singer Mica Paris was celebrated as the next new thing, new soul hope - it came to nothing, not only because Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner were stil rulling the charts, but also because Paris was really not so special.
Her album somehow got released in my country (probably as a part of some package deal,if you want Stones you have to take seven crappy ones) and I remember myself thinking "this is not so hot as they say" - than and now, some 20 years later, I still think Paris was overrated and the whole hype over-blown out of proportions.
Soul singer - come on,if you think this plastic pop is soul, you have probably never heard of Chaka Khan - Paris had anonymous, slightly husky voice that might have worked as a backing vocal.
Re-visit to this album (I hoped it might work out now, maybe I will like it) just confirmed what I thought back than.
And having lived my teenage years through that time, I am truly sick, tired and allergic of 1980s music, drum machines and synthesizers.
