This review is from: "So I'm talkin' to This Guy..." (Paperback)
Rob Borsellino is honest, courageous and a true populist. He takes us from his Green Acres experiences adapting to life in Iowa from New York City to the universal struggles of humanity. Life. Love. Need. Hunger. In his last days he modeled grace and courage. He may have lost the fight with ALS, but he won the hearts and minds of countless Iowans. This book is a collection of his columns that appeared in the Des Moines Register. You'll laugh, you'll cry--you may even get pissed off. Either way, you'll actually care.

It is that good. This is an absolutely amazing collection of stories by an amazing author. I can't reccomend it enough. It made me laugh and cry, but always lifted me up. If you like the written word you will love this book. It's a series of columns so easy to read even a few minutes at a time, but entertaining enough you won't want to put it down. |
