Mikaila, whose debut album is scheduled to be released in a few months, is the next big thing for pop female vocalists. I bought the single on a gamble, having never even heard the song before, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised! Besides the great songs, which alone would make it worth your money, the enhanced version makes this the best CD on this side of pop singles.

The first is the title track "So in Love With Two," the concept of which Mikaila helped come up with herself. The title is a little corny to me, but the song itself is cute and upbeat. While pure pop, it's not sugar-coated-it's got a bit of an R&B edge to it. It fits her age right now, too. At fourteen, she doesn't need to be crooning for men to "stay the night," but a song about having a crush on two different boys completely works for her. By the way, the lyrics are included.

The second is "The Art of Letting Go." A very lovely ballad which proves that Mikaila can sing both slow and fast songs. My only slight complaint is that the theme *does* seem a tad old for her...but if you consider the extremes of emotions teenage girls tend to face at a break-up, it's really not too adult, after all.

The last is a Hex Hector remix of "So in love with two." It's almost nine minutes long, not to mention entirely awesome. Fast songs have a tendency to remix better than slow songs, but even they can be off a little. This one isn't. The vocal sampling is well done and the beat doesn't try to overpower the song. Very danceable and very catchy.

The songs alone would be worth the money, but the enhanced CD is great-minus the annoying "clickme" that starts automatically when you pop the CD in. It features a cartoon Mikaila dancing, which is cute-but a word of warning that if your computer is slow, your screen might freeze up. ^_^; Otherwise, dance away... It opens to a screen that has a link to her website, a biography, and a few pictures of her. (Speaking of pictures, did I mention the decal that comes with the single?) As for music, there's a Spanish and a Spanglish version of the song, the latter being what it sounds like, a mix of Spanish and English words. A little weird, but hey, the Japanese do it all the time. *laugh*

The best part of the enhanced CD to me, though, is the interview with Mikaila. It's ten minutes long and not only features questions that show her personality, but has snippets of songs from her upcoming album. They are "Playground," "Perfect World," and "Straight to My Face." If she times the releases right, they're all top 40 worthy, possibly even top 10. They are all upbeat, and while I love "So in love with two," these are even better. I can't wait to get her album and hear the full version.

If you like female pop vocalists, you'll like Mikaila. The girl's got talent. Her style is closest to Britney's, but yes, she does distinguish herself. Honestly, if you're a fan of any of the teen queens out there right now, I can't imagine you not liking Mikaila. Don't be scared to buy the single...you won't be disappointed.

TRACK TWO IS A NICE BALLAD. IT'S THE KIND OF SONG THAT YOU PLAY WHEN YOUR IN A BAD MOOD, BUT HEY IT'S STILL GOOD.

TRACK THREE IS AMAZING. THOSE WHO KNOW HEX HECTOR WILL BUY A CD WHICH FEATURES ONE OF HIS REMIXES EVEN IF THEY DONT KNOW THE SONG. I MEAN THIS GUY HAS WON TWO GRAMMY'S! HE'S AMAZING! ANYWAY THIS REMIX IS WONDERFULY DONE. THE TRACK STARTS SLOW BUT BUILDS UP AND GET'S BETTER EVERY SECODND! IF YOU LIKE HEX HECTORS REMIX FOR MELANIE C "I TURN TO YOU" YOU'LL LOVE THIS ONE!

Another catchy toon from yet another new teen pop sensation Mikaila. This single is incredile, and what impresses me most about it, is that Mikaila who is 14 co-wrote this song. For a 14 year old this girl knows how to sing.

1.) So in love with two (Album Version) 3:25 = Her album has not been released yet but will be soon, so I'll reference this track as the original version that everyone has heard on the radio. I'm sure most of you can relate to this song, so have you people have probably been torn between two relationships. Even if you are not out for this song because it is meaningful, it is still a fun song that has a great beat and catchy lyrics. This song is really cool because guy's could probably relate to it to, so it is somewhat of a unisex song, however in one of the verses she says "he's", but it is only announced once so you can allway's think of it as a she. This song has a great R&B beat, for those of you who havn't heard this track.

2.)The art of letting go (3:53) = This is a great ballad, it has not been released as a single, but as a track on this single, so that you can hear what Makaila is all about. Great ballad, nothing is sampled off of it, so it is pretty original.

3.) So In Love With Two (Hex Hector Club Mix) 8:55 = I am not a person who is fond of long remixes, however this one is incredible. Hex Hector remixed Jennifer Lopez's song, "Waiting For Tonight" and I thought he couldn't beat a remix as good as that, well he proved me wrong. I am actually fond of this remix a lot. The beginning of this remix does not start out slow, it is just instrumental beats that lead into the remix for about 1 minute. The remix is great continuously out the song, however there is a mid-section pause that is incredible and will catch your attention.

4.) Bonus Material (enhanced portion) = hey people pop this CD into your computer and hey, there are more tracks. There is a Spanish and Spanglish version of "So in Love With Two" that I know you will just love. Also, there is a little cartoon like thing on it, which is not the video, but just a little cartoon. This single also come with the lyrics in the enhanced portion and behind the CD cover.

People, give a chance to a new singer, with a soon to be hit single, that is just incredible. Buy this CD, because it is ultimately fun, and the song is enjoyable. Makaila is the best new singer out there!

I recall that the reason that I got this single is because it was selling for a really cheap price. It was worth about that much money. The songwriting just wasn't that good and the first two tracks are just boring overall. "So In Love With Two (Album Version)" suffers from its musically and lyrically weak chorus. The whole song has lyrics that are way too typical of the pop songs that were created around this era; I mean, "If I only could decide/But I can't make up my mind/I'm breaking all my rules/Because of you" is about as lyrically creative as it gets. "The Art Of Letting Go" is best classified as a slow song used as filler material. "So In Love With Two (Hex Hector Club Mix)" is probably something that most dance/electronica fans won't see as anything new or creative, as just a generic long mix designed specifically and exclusively for the dance floor, but it's slightly deeper than that. Shorten Hex Hector's mix and you'll get a song that should've been the song played on radio. (Besides, at the time, Mikaila was one of countless bubblegum pop acts that A) got about 2 seconds on TRL, never to be seen again and B) would've had no chance at radio play. It might've been wiser to go in as more of a dance-pop vocalist.)

For another pop act that appeared briefly during Mikaila's time period and quickly vanished, go for Debelah Morgan, who has a ridiculous voice and some decent songs on her album "dance with me."

OVERALL:This is So cool!

You probably won't believe this if you heard her hit song but Mikaila just turned 14 a couple months ago. But her voice is so soulful, strong and smooth at the same time, she sounds like a full-grown diva. And get this, she co-writes in some of her songs. Something neither Britney or Christina did on their first albums. This song is already a huge radio hit, and it's a fast, danceable pop hit with a hint of R&B flavor. You'll never forget the catchy lyrics and hook. Mikaila is the next big thing. For sure!

The best thing about Mikaila is that she's fresh, and the industry has been circulating the same ol' same ol' silicone pumped barbie dolls lately. It's always good to have a new voice, and I think she has real potential to be more than a face, she has an amazing voice and I respect that a lot more than a nice haircut.

I had heard this song a couple of times before buying the single but what motivated me to buy it was when I was in a record store in upstate New York and I heard the song. I then saw the single on the shelves and decided to buy it. Well, 'So in love with two' is a cute, fun song, but that is not what made me play the single over and over again. At least not the original version. It's the Hex Hector remix!!! Oh my God!!! Is there any doubt that Hex Hector is the best remixer out there??? The ability that guy has to turn fluffy pop songs like this into all-out dance-floor bangers is incredible!!! What is especially cool is that I did not realize that there was a Hex Hector remix on this single until I got home!! So, imagine my surprise when I realized not only that there was a remix by Hex Hector but that it is amazing!!! This is the perfect example of how an ok pop song can be turned into an incredible club thumper when put into the right hands, like those of Hex Hector!!! Get it!!!
