Editorial Reviews

Featuring the Robben Ford Band and special guest Larry Carlton"Chris Cain is for real. A great blues player with an intensity that can keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering what he's going to do next. Plus he knows how to write a song you haven't heard before, full of humor and insight." - Robben FordChris Cain's emotional blues singing and dynamic, jazz-tinged guitar playing have been praised by the likes of BB King and Albert King, among many others. This release of sparkling, newly recorded material marks the long overdue return of a modern blues master.

I must say I an a fan, but how could you not like this guy? He is a very, very fine blues guitarist, vocalist, AND this CD features world class talent. The songs are well written and heartfelt.

In this outing Cain pushes the blues envelope as well as explores some new territory. The blues is a fairly established and traditional form of music and new configurations are not that common (or well received for that matter). Good blues players stick to the format, this guy understands the genre enough to be expansive; he takes a step out of the box, and nails it.

I was suprised when I was browsing the new releases and found a new Chris Cain CD. I own all of Chris's work on Cd including the impossible to locate Christmas CD. I read one of the not so stellar reviews of the Cd and decided to judge myself. Chris's voice and guitar work are always a treat. Some of the material doesn't beg to played over and over again such as unscheduled flight or Chris's early works. Still a must for Chris's fans. Chris is a blues giant and a true gentleman.

I have enjoyed the music of Chris Cain for many years. His new CD "So Many Miles" is another strong blues album. His voice and awesome guitar playing are legendary and once again he has proven that he is "THE" master blues artist! Chris Cain is a talented guy and you will be happy with his new release. It is hard for me to say which of his CDs is the best ever, but I can say without a doubt that "So Many Miles" is one of his finest. Outstanding blues and highly recommended!
