A Must Have for any Reggae Clloection,
By A Customer
This review is from: So Many Things (Audio CD)
Anthony B is one of the best dancehall reggae artist that brings truth and rights with his lyrics. And this is his best album to date. He seems to have fallen off lately with albums like That's Life (a few good tracks) but So Many Things to Say, and Universal Struggle are his best releases to date. Sevens Seals is also good. If you like reggae, dancehall and conscious lyrics, get this album. Clean Hands and pure in heart, Rastafari.....Mike D.

Anthony B is one of the best reggae dancehall artists of the 90s. He is right up there with kalongi and the prophet. I think over time he has surpassed sizzla becaue he has kept his original sound and style. This is his best work to date. My favorite track is "Cold Feet", but this is a cd that you can play all the way through, Big up tony b.

This album by Anthony B is one of my all time favorites. The songs are good and have meaning. From his hit "Raid the Barn" to the anti establishemnt "Fire Pon Rome" the album is full of good songs and will always be in heavy rotation in my cd player.

I would like to say that this album, and all other releases from Anthony B are incredible. Anthony B is an outstanding roots/dancehall reggae artist. If you like reggae you must add Anthony B to your collection. Jah Rule, one love... Dj-Hasstyle (NYC/Houston)

I really enjoyed this CD it is one of the best conscious reggae albums ever. He shows true insight, knowledge and inspiration. A great example for up-coming artists. Also his singing style is unique, after listening to this album I found myself hunting down all his other releases. I guarantee as an all-time fan of Anthony B he is one of the greatest alongside Sizzla, another inspirational artist in his own right.

After catching the blistering anti-papal/anti-political scorcher "Fire Pon Rome" on one of the street corner dancehall mix tapes I picked up so often in the 90s, I literally dashed out to cop singjay Anthony B's accompanying album, "So Many Things". Since dancehall is by nature a culture of live performances and blazing singles, albums can often be a crapshoot. Thankfully, the Bobo dread deejay did not disappoint! In addition to "Fire Pon Rome", "So Many Things" can boast of such instant classics as "Cold Feet" (the tragic tale of a robbery gone wrong), the prayerful "One Thing", and the inspirational title track. Perhaps the most innovative cut on the album is "Repentance Time", on which Anthony B turns the time-honoured dancehall tradition of calling out one's rivals on its head by calling down Jah's blessings on such potential sparring partners as Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, and a host of others. Respect due Anthony B!

Anthony B murdahs dem with this cd. It is a classic, and if you love conscious reggae then this is a MUST have. SO MANY good THINGS can be said about this album as it has countless BIG tunes. Fire Pon Rome, Hurt The Heart, One Thing, So Many Things, Raid the Barn, and Swarm Me are all tunes any selekta can wheel and pull up. Check the talent and change of pace in Repentance Time, and Cold Feet. Definitely add this one to your collection, unless you're into commerial stuff!

Every song is a winner. He is unique. One of the few reggae albums you can listen to from beginning to end. So good, even reggae unfamiliar friends of mine took to it right away. He ranks up there with Marley and Yellowman.

Pure Fire Burning,
By

May many blessings be showered upon Anthony B for another quality cd,probably one of his best.Very fiery and inspirational lyrics embodied in such tracks as "So Many Things","Ghetto Youth","Cold Feet",my favourite "Fire 'Pon Rome" where he names names. What a novelty and I wish artists did this more often for how else can the evil man be burned out if he is not disgraced publicly first. But we need songs which name George W,Rumsfeld and Kofi Annan among others.Other standout tracks include"Burn Down Sodom","World In Trouble" with the incomparable Garnett Silk and the final track "Prophecy A Reveal".Go get it if you want to know the truth of things but if you prefer Babylon's fantasy music with it's unrealistic and confusing messages then leave this one alone for true reggae fans and the Rastafari brethren and sistren.Ises to Rastafari.Keep burning the fire, Anthony B.
