Editorial Reviews

Gregory Berg, THE JOURNAL OF SINGING, Nov./Dec., 2004

an exceptionally fine collection of modern art songs, seemlessly rendered.

Product Description

Contemporary songs of great beauty and approachability. Most of the songs are world premiere recordings. This is also the first compact disk recording of Dan Locklair's "In the Almost Evening." Carol Sams wrote her three song cycle for the recording, based upon the poetry of Arthur Mampel. The album was recorded on location in Lagerquist Concert Hall on the campus of Pacific Lutheran University.
