FANTASTIC ALBUM....FANTASTIC SONGS,
By
This review is from: So Real (Audio CD)
All I have to say is this-- Mandy Moore--So Real--So Good. Really, I ain't joking. I really don't know what the deal is with this Spears chick, but I'm telling you, Mandy is NOTHING at all like her. Her songs are more meaningful, upbeat and...good. She has songs that will keep you humming to the tune for days. (Trust me) I'm going to be honest to all you music-lovers, out of all the eleven songs I heard, I liked...all of THEM. Finally, an album where I enjoy listening to all the songs in the track. Now, of course, I'm a person that enjoys listening to pop. Please, don't buy this cd if you like listening to Korn or Hole, or something like that. It's just not for you. I have absolutely no regrets buying this cd. It's the best. And you're talking to an experienced person here. So go on and buy the album, and try it and see. Really. Go do it. Now.

This Defineatly Could Be What You Want ('Scuse the Pun!),

I have to admit, when I first got this cd I was not so thrilled with the tracks and the singing. It was different than other things I'd heard, like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. But that's what makes it better than their cds: It's different. Mandy does seem to follow with the other girl trends, but it looks like she's started her own path. Her songs are fun, not too serious, and innocent. Nothing naughty here.It takes a while to warm up to it, but I've listened to it and listened to it and it just gets better and better every time. Go Mandy! You've got the right idea! This cd is perfect for anyone who loves pop. You don't have to love Britney to get into Mandy Moore. :o)

Well I just bought this Cd and it's good and it's music sounded like Britney and Christina Beat in together, and so this cd is great for those who are Mandy's fans, and also for Britney's and Christina's Fans. Also Mandy is only 15 yrs old and is the my best 15 year old singer. So if you like my review, try to buy the cd it's great. My favorite Musics are: #1 "So real",#2 "Candy", #3 "What you want",#5 "Lock me in your heart",#7 "Quit breaking my heart" ,and #9 "Not too young" from the CD track. So this is a great Cd. So try to buy this cd is great and the beat is good too.

MANDY HAS THE VOICE!,

Before you write Mandy off as another Britney or Christina, WAIT! I am a teenage girl and I think this is a fantastic CD! This CD holds great songs I never even knew I would like so much! Here are my opinions of each song:1. So Real-"Baby it's real(real, real)..." This song is truly "So Real"! A great song to start out with and an excellent choice for an album title! 2. Candy-This shows the true foundations for an all-around pop hit! I love this song! Very danceable and very fun to sing along to! 3. What You Want-This is good song too. I love they way the song explodes into the chorus with Mandy singing "What you want, I can be, I'm the girl of your fantasy..." 4. Walk Me Home-Mandy's voice sounds purely sweet in here... a wonderful slow song. 5. Lock Me In Your Heart-This song is very cool. It reflects a certain mysteriousness. I love it in the end when she sings softly and mysteriously over and over the phrase "take me baby, take my away..." 6. Telephone (Interlude)-I don't see the point of having this on the album...but it's only about 20-30 seconds though. 7. Quit Breaking My Heart-A great slow song where Mandy's voice is sweet and mellow... kinda shows off the great voice she has. 8. Let Me Be The One-Mandy turns Britney a little bit in this song, but not too much... she still reflects her own style of singing. 9. Not Too Young-This song is great! I absolutely love it because it reflects me and a guy in my class... hits very close to home! Very orginal and clever lyrics when she sings the chorus, which says "I'm not too young to know the right things to do, and one of those things is not to fall for you. Boy I don't want no play, didn't you hear me say "I'm not gonna fall for you, so please just go away" 10. Love Shot-A awesome dance song with a great beat! 11. I Like It-I really don't really care much for this song, but it always depends on your taste of music. 12. Love You For Always-A pretty good song 13. Quit Breaking My Heart - (reprise)-A one-minute summary of the song "Quit Breaking my Heart". It reflects Mandy's dynamic voice well, and is a nice closing to the album Overall, I was VERY pleased with this album. Mandy has a great voice and most certainly will have a great future in music ahead of her. Another bonus: when you enter the CD into your computer, you can watch an exclusive interview and her Candy music video. These are just my personal opinions of these songs, it's up to you to buy it and decide whether you like it or not! :) MANDY, GREAT JOB!

Very Funky Fresh!,

Okay, it is inevitable that Mandy is being compared to other teen "pop princesses" like Britney, Christina, and Jessica. And to tell you the truth, I am fans of them all. But out of all their debut CD's I like Mandy's "So Real" the best. I saw Mandy live twice opening for *N Sync, and I met her, and she is really sweet, and seemed truly happy to be there with the fans. When her single for Candy came out, I bought it before I even heard it on the radio. She has an amazing voice. I truly enjoy every song on this CD. "Candy" has all the makings of a pop hit. "What You Want" and "Not Too Young" are original funky lil numbers. And her voice sounds so sweet on ballads like "Walk Me Home" and "Quit Breaking My Heart." Out of the 12 songs on the CD, there are only 2 that are "just okay" in my opinion. I think that Mandy is talented beyond her years, and she has a great future ahead of her.

Question?,
This review is from: So Real (Audio CD)
I just don't get it. Mandy Moore is ten times better than Britney Spears, so why isn't her album in the top ten yet? Her cd provides upbeat and refreshing music that's such an improvement from "Soda Pop" and "E-Mail My Heart" So HOW COME BRITNEY'S ALBUM IS SO ON TOP AND MANDY'S ALBUM IS SO BELOW? I am truly concerned. And Angry

A fun, happy album,
By A Customer
This review is from: So Real (Audio CD)
I bought this album because I was in the mood for some bubblegum music. I didn't buy So Real because I wanted some life-changing, earth-shattering music. I just wanted to hear some fun music and that's what I got. This album is really good and songs like "So Real", "Candy", and "Love Shot" are fun up-tempos. "Walk Me Home" and "Quit Breaking My Heart" are sweet. I love "Lock Me In Your Heart" and "Love You For Always". "I Like It" is a HUGE surprise. It has a genuine R&B/soul, mature sound. If it was released as a single, it would shock a lot of people. It's not bubblegum at all. I can imagine any respected R&B artist singing "I Like It" and Mandy does a great job on it. If Mandy decides that she wants to be more than a bubblegum artist, she should do more songs like "I Like It". Overall, this album is a lot stronger than Britney Spears's. With Britney's album, I only like about 3 songs but I like most of Mandy's album. Mandy does have an average voice, which really shows on "Not Too Young", but it's not awful... Buy this album if you like fun music. Yes, most of it is bubblegum but sometimes that's not so bad. Who wants to be serious all the time?

"So Real" worth the wait,

"So Real" is the best CD to come out of the POP scence since Backstreet Boy's 2nd album. It's a breath of fresh air compared to Britney and Christina. Mandy adds her own touch of originality, and the songs are so catchy, you can't skip any of them! This is one album that will burn up the charts for months to come!

Mandy the pop princess!,

I absolutely LOVE this CD! It has just enough slow songs but the rest are upbeat to keep you moving. Here's what I thought of all the songs: 1. So real- GREAT song! I love the beat and the words are awesome 2. Candy- no need for explanation, an instant hit 3. What you want- This is my favorite of the cd. It has great lyrics and an awesome beat 4.Walk me home- I really didn't care for this song, it was too dippy, but every Cd has atleast one dippy song 5.Lock me in your heart- this was a fairly good song, It sounded a lot like she was trying to be a rap artist 6. telephone (interlude)- Don't really see the point to this, but ok 7. Quit Breaking my heart- This is a good song for someone who just experienced a break-up 8. Let me be the one- My second fav on the album! This one has a great beat and you can understand what she's saying 9. not too young- this one is an awesome song, too! It has a great message and beat! 10. Love shot- This song's beat will get you go-n for sure! 11. I like it- This one is ok, its kind of messy, as in you need to slow it down to get what she's saying 12. Love you for always- This is a good song, but could use some work 13. Quit breakin' my heart (reprise)- I don't see the point to this one, either, but its ok
